| A colleague of mine was on a business trip in Alaska to study life in the far North, and eventually came upon the Bering Strait. She then observed one of the beasts surface on a distant sheet of ice, witnessing the near-instant transformation from a killer whale to a wolf. Of course, she could only report the non-anomalous creatures to the superiors of her biology job. When she was able to, she informed us about these entities. These creatures, called ‘Akhlut’, come from Inuit folklore. Creatures of such origin don’t exist in this world, but their presence is real nonetheless. Such information could be very valuable in the science realm. So we hired an agent to “collect a specimen”. I thought that our hired help would slay one of them and bring back the body. Instead, he brought a live specimen he tranquilized. My colleague believes that the specimen is a cub since it was apparently smaller than the one she witnessed. Not many people are interested in such a creature, but there have been quite a few notable parties that are very interested in this thing. Such conclusive evidence of an entire species of anomalous mammals being alive and stable enough to have offspring is too good to ignore. |
