Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5170 is to be kept in a 20ft x 20ft x 8ft with 2 layers of thick steel. If it's not 2 layers thick, then SCP-5170 can drip out of the cell.
Description: SCP-5170 appears to be a crimson red dragon (1.75m tall) at first glance but, upon further inspection, its skin is quite literally blood and guts and if disturbed, it dissolves onto the floor of its containment leaving the floor completely red. It is extremely scared of humans but very passive. It will not even try to attack when hearing loud noises. It does not need to be fed or hydrated. It can only escape if someone is near and drips blood or has a cut resulting in the person's blood being sucked out of their body and turning into SCP-5170-O (Offspring). This will result in the person's death and SCP-5170's growth. It grows about an inch if this happens. Its max height is about 13ft and 9 inches and that's why its containment is 20ft x 20ft x 8ft.
Addendum 1: In 2012, site director, Dr. [REDATCED} was found dead in his office with blood splattered everywhere. Dr. *Redacted* was found with cuts but no blood. One Class D cleaning the mess noticed that the security camera was covered in blood. So he had the bright idea of checking the footage. To his surprise, he saw Dr. [REDATCED} cut himself on a can opener, and just 5 seconds later, all the blood splattered everywhere covering the camera and everything in the room. The Class D did hear weird noices coming from the recordings but couldn't see anything cause of the blood. Then, that's when he noticed that right below his office, was SCP-5170. The Class D was then promoted to Class D for figuring it out.
Addendum 2: In 2018, SCP-5170 was moved to a different site but a lot of it dripped out of the glass which caused the creation of SCP-5170-O1 and C which escaped into the sewers of New York. An MTF squad reportedly found them 2 miles in but were never actually captured. The site director had to go in but by the time they got there, they found the dead bodies of some of the MTF squad members including empty slits in their arms which were presumably cuts which let SCP-5170-O1 and SCP-5170-O2 turn into them and escape. But, about 1 week later, the offspring were contained safely and were moved to Site 9NYC in New York but that's not where its killings end. In 2019, 2 Class D were found fighting in the cafeteria and both gave each other bloody noses. I'm pretty sure you know what happened next. The bodies were found with no blood but one Class D seemed to have not lost all of there blood in fact, he still had a lot of blood left. The site director thought that maybe SCP-5170 was getting full with blood and that's when he went down to the containment and saw that the offspring combined with the original and made it twice its max size which made it leek through the ceiling into the cafeteria. The whole place was quarantined until further notice. SCP-5170 was then put into a giant bucket in 2020 where it resides today. The bucket has a stick that touches the blood every few seconds because if not being disturbed, it will turn into its original form.
Discovery: In 2010, a report of dripping blood in downtown New York at a warehouse with a very dangerous SCP in it guarded by 2 MTF members who said the blood seemed to come from the roof of the warehouse. The MTF rushed up to the roof to find a giant red thing. The blood seemed to drip from it and down into the warehouse. The 2 MTF members' conversation went like this.
