Special Containment Procedures SCP-3539 is to be contained in a locked container at all times. Use of SCP-3539 is to only be used for research purposes only. Unauthorized use of SCP-3208 will result in detainment.
Description SCP-3539 is a set of ordinary keys consisting of average shapes. The blades and bows of SCP-3539 are made of a metal that is most likely brass. The chain holding the keys cannot be removed at any time. At times of no pattern, the chain of the keys tends to change into a random color. The color the outline changes into doesn’t seem to have any significant meaning of any kind.
The keys SCP-3539 can fit into any keyhole, but putting the keys of SCP-3539 inside of a keyhole is not recommended, unless it is the keyhole that starts a car. Attempts made to fit any key of SCP-3539 into anything but a car keyhole will result in [DATA EXPUNGED]. One of the keys of SCP-3539 will mold into the shape of the keyhole it was put inside of. The shape of that particular key will remian the same shap unless placed into another keyhole.
When starting a car with one of the keys of SCP-3539, the car will start. When driving a car with that key inside the keyhole, the car will start controlling itself on its own, driving in random directions and at random speeds. It is likely that SCP-3539 is controlling the car. The driver is not capable of controlling the car while it’s driving itself. The self-driving car will attempt to crash itself or drive off a cliff, most likely in an attempt to kill the driver. Even if enough damage occurs to a point where it would damage or completely disintegrate SCP-3539, the key will remain un-damaged. It is suspected that the car begins driving itself at the worst possible time; such as next to a cliff or close to anything possibly explosive.
Incedent 3539-██-13: During testing on ██/██/████ in driving course ██, SCP-3539 supposedly took control of the car and was suspected to crash the car into a wall. Instead, the car drove into one of the hidden, close-up observatories; killing 2 personnel, along with researcher Dr. ████. SCP-3539 is highly suspected of gaining knowledge of its surroundings or automatically knowing it’s surroundings. Further testing required.
