SCP-5028

Item #: 5028
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: A 50 x 50 x 30 room has been constructed at Site-██. It contains a section of asphalt road bordered on both sides by grass with a single dim, flickering streetlight in the middle. Due to SCP-5028’s nature, the hallway outside is also dimly lit, although the ceiling is too short to permit its use. At least one class D personnel is required to watch SCP-5028 at all times, as prolonged non-viewing (over 1 minute) causes it to vanish.

Description: SCP-5028 is a shadowy humanoid figure about 10 to 12 feet in height. It has no legs, as it dissolves at the torso, and its arms appear to end in large squidlike tentacles. It has a round head with two holes resembling eyes that can be looked through.
SCP-5028 manifests in environments with dark or inconsistent lighting environments, disappearing instantly if properly illuminated or approached within a distance of 20 feet. SCP-5028’s presence fills onlookers with a vague feeling of fear and anxiety. Some report hearing indistinct whispers associated with seeing SCP-5028. SCP-5028 vanishes when photographed. The sketch of SCP-5028 was taken from Researcher Feather’s notebook after his observation of the entity.
