Item #: SCP- XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX is an isolated foundation-purchased black personal computer monitor and station, formerly used by Dr. ████, on Site-21. All it’s normal functionality and access to research files for any Level 5 or lower files, has since ceased due to the incident on 02/21/████. SCP-XXXX-1 is an AI entity, whose full capability is unknown, having been uploaded to the program during a site-wide system malfunction. During this event, audio outputs for all systems began to emit white noise, with screens displaying white and black pixels for an estimated 20 minutes, before silencing in sync. SCP-XXXX, at 01:21, began to then emit a series of tones, later identified by the onsite Broadcast Monitoring division, as an SSTV signal, lasting for around 1 minute, though it is not understood how system functionality had been affected on such a large scale. No escapes or casualties have since been reported.
At the end of the signal, SCP-XXXX’s screen displays a placeholder “No Signal” error. After a duration 20 minutes, the displays becomes operational, showing a bright cyan tone, under hex code #a5f7fa. A static black line is displayed in the center, running through the left to right margins A genderless synthetic voice then speaks, repeating “Audio Playback Requested”, at 20 second intervals. Internal CCTV recordings harvesting have since been approved for remote audio playback. Upon playback in close proximity to SCP-XXXX, the repeating line ceases, and the screen turns to black. An image, now referred to as SCP-XXXX-A, is slowly revealed from the top of the screen, to the bottom. SCP-XXXX-A has a white background, and 5 lines of black text, reading SOS-SOS-SOS repeatedly, leaking off the left and right margins. SCP-XXXX-A is then displayed to be held in the default Pictures folder, titled as “SOS”. SCP-XXXX-1, then returns to it's cyan display, and speaks.
