Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### is to remain at site-██ in the a bullet-proof glass display cabinet on a pedestal when not being tested on. The display cabinet is to be kept inside a 5m x 5m room with one of the walls having a window which can only be seen through from the outside. The room is to stay under 24/7 surveillance with no less than 2 Security units present. A D-Class of female gender is to stay in a locked cell in close proximity and is to be the closest human female to SCP-####. Testing on SCP-#### is only permitted to level-4 clearance or higher with no less than 6 guards present and one male D-Class personnel. Everyone must see a psychiatrist before coming near SCP-####. Under no circumstances, are female scientists aloud to test on SCP-####.
Description: SCP-#### is a 1800s male top hat of no distinguishable brand. It is matte black in colour with a black glossy ribbon around the base. Although the first known documentation of SCP-#### was in the late 1800s, it is remarkably still in perfect condition. Male personnel in a 5m radius of SCP-#### stated that they could hear a voice trying to convince them to put the hat on.
Upon placing SCP-#### on a victims head, here after referred to as SCP-####-02, it will now go through 3 different stages, the searching stage, the killing stage and the recuperation. In stage 1, a dagger will manifest in SCP-####-02's hand and it will begin trying to break out of containment. There is no known way of terminating SCP-####-02 in this state as bullets just phase through the body as does any other object when an attempt is made to touch SCP-####-02. SCP-####-02 will instinctively know where the closest female human is and proceed to make its way toward the individual. Once it find the individual, stage 2 begins. It will begin a brutal process of stabbing and slicing at the females chest. Once the female is dead, SCP-####-02 will dissect the body and remove a random organ from the body. No patterns as of yet have not been recognised as to which organ will be removed. SCP-####-02 will then hold both the dagger and the extracted organ up in the air before vanishing. At this point, SCP-####-02 has begun the third stage. At the beginning of the third stage and onwards is SCP-####-02 will collapse unconscious, and be able to be touched. SCP-#### is to be returned to its containment chamber and security procedures as to begin immediately. There have been a few cases in SCP-####-02 was able to be brought back to consciousness. Subjects say that they remember a voice complimenting them as they were killing the female victim. They later stated that they would never kill anyone on their own like they did before. If consciousness has not been achieved within a month, SCP-####-02 will be subject to incinerations.

A second instance of SCP-#### has been discovered which begs the question on where it came from. It was discovered sit in a reservation park in the middle of a circular crater close to the site at which the original SCP-#### is contained.

Multiple more instances of SCP-#### have been discovered, all within a 100m - 10km radius around the site. At this point, no one has seen anything to do with the appearing of SCP-####. The is a total of ██ instances of SCP-#### at site ██.

A discovery has been made when a witness saw the appearing of another instance SCP-####. The witness, Prof.███████, said that she saw the instance appear at ████ hours. At the same time, Dr ██████████ finished conducting a test on one of the contained instances of SCP-####. It was later deduced that when an instance of SCP-#### appears, a female is killed at the hands of SCP-####-02. Testing is now prohibited to anyone with level-4 clearance or lower.
