Blockaded entrance leading into RPC-300

rating: 0+x

Item #: RPC-300

Object Class: Alpha Beta

Containment Procedures: Authority personnel are to guard RPC-300's seven two remaining entrance tunnels located near Mount Song or around Henan Province, China under the guise of RPC's front organization "Henan's Fellowship Retreat." As Mount Song is one of China's Five Great Mountains, the front organization's responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Direct authorized persons along preset tourist locales and passageways.
  2. Are tasked with orders to detain any non-authorized persons from research zones and tunnels leading into RPC-300.

Two of the larger cave entrances are to be guarded by MST-X-Ray 17 "Jade Rabbits" in joint operations with the People's Republic of China's military. Due to Operation Divine Battle-Axe (A-300-3), problematic cave entrances have been demolished. Fortifications built around the bulkhead of the previous entrances are sealed with hydraulic sealing agents and cement covering an area of 21 cubic meters. Site-119-1 has been constructed over the surface area on top of RPC-300. MST-Xi 17 "Jade Rabbits", MST-Kilo 4 "Screaming Frogs", and MST-Oscar 8 "Mars Pathfinders" are to guard the perimeter surrounding known RPC-300 entrances. Immediate quarantine or termination of ███████ █████ cultists is mandatory. Sightings of ███████ █████ are to be reported to project head for further instruction.

Description: RPC-300 refers to a sequence of interlocking spatial phenomena located underneath Mount Song in Henan (China) 1400 meters below ground-level with a total surface area of 2300 cubic meters. RPC-300-1 is an amalgamation of the following:

  1. a collection of various thermophiles (with several undocumented species of general Crenarchaeota), cyanobacteria, and alphaproteobacteria.
  2. water super-saturated with methane, ammonia and hydrogren.

In total, RPC-300-1 sea-floor is unknown and pervades the interior of RPC-300. From below it's surface, RPC-300-2 (various anomalous groups of coral) situate at the baseline; where nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide, methane, and carbon gases separate micro-organic soup.

Further inspection revealed "hanging"1 architecture similar in design with Shang to Han Dynasty buildings (1500 BC - 200 BC) of varying sizes.2 Ranging from 15 X 20 meters, objects and rooms within are influenced by artistic horticultural practices. The structures are embedded into cylindrical pillars of similar genus measuring 25 X 30 meters.

A few examples listed below:

  • Cascading round pavilions stand erect on the arcs open enclosures lined with bilateral rooftops. Smaller instances outline square patterns interlocking it's outskirts.
  • Species of coral interlace creating small chairs from bamboo coral and decorative tables made from red coral sponge.
  • At least, several pagodas housing alters to bronze sculptures depicting deities belonging to Chinese, Greek, Babylonian, and Sumerian mythology are found on each coral pillar.
  • Bioluminescent lanterns and lion sculptures are situated near large gates and open pagodas.

RPC-300-2 pillars descending to the seafloor of RPC-300 are currently immeasurable bottom of RPC-300 appear to shrink and manifest into convex, non-euclidean spirals when near the center of RPC-300. (See A-300-1: Excavation Logs below.)

Any fragmentation of RPC-300-2 will release special enzymes to lure humanoid minders classified as RPC-300-3 tasked with carrying out the Pangu Procedure. During which they will initiate internal fertilization upon apprehension of the fragment treating it as an intromittent male organ. Being of a genus related to lophiiformes3 and homo sapiens, RPC-300-3 assumes all males are sexually dimorphic parasites. Thus, instances will attempt to pair-bond with male organisms.

If the instances fail to fertilize in a short period of time, they will become enraged. Often, the instances will resort to parting their fang-like teeth with their arms and will manifest a 3 meter high esca4 from their throat. It emits a cognitohazardous light that penetrates all non memetic-proof alloys. Subjects influenced by this will experience extreme hyperarousal and shock to the sympathetic nervous system. (See A-300-2: Retrieval below.)

The following is an audio recording archived by Site-119 on July 15, 1981:

After several months, eggs hatch into distinct polyps. These become new instances of RPC-300-2 as they are eventually processed by RPC-300-1 after several days. There are no known marine vertebrate or invertebrate typically observed between bathyal to abyssopelagic zones5 existing inside RPC-300 outside of instances already described (see A-300-2: Retrieval.)

Large capillary networks derived from RPC-300-1's erosion of limestone bedrock connect with horizontally extensive underground river systems. Infiltrating meteoric water or oceanic water funneled through halocline water systems utilizing hydraulic conductivity filter through cavities under RPC-300's domain and are then converted to instances of RPC-300-1. The organisms existing in RPC-300 die upon entering bodies of water alien to it's ecosystem.

A distant light-source can be shown in a persistent cardinal direction regardless of the onlooker's geological positioning within RPC-300 near what is assumed to be a seafloor emitting ██████ a previously unknown type of radiation. The standard temperature of the uppermost layer of RPC-300-1 is approximately 41°C. Descending to approximately 5100 meters below the surface-level of RPC-300-1, if individuals stare at the light-source, detrimental exposure to ██████ radiation causes [DATA EXPUNGED] due to gradual acceptance of the memetic agent as a source of heat by sapient organisms. Afterwards, normative temperature regulation by the body ceases.

Due to the severe data corruption to archives on RPC-300, the following is to be read by personnel with security clearance level 4 and 5. Personnel lower than this will be terminated. If you are able to scroll-down beyond this prompt and read excerpts, your authorization credentials have been accepted.

Drawn representation of the Battle of Canton circa 1858

Original documentation of RPC-300 can be found as early as 1842 after the Battle of Canton6. During the peace treaty negotiations, Li Hongzhang7 had covertly included the location of RPC-300 in a package of generic documentation outlining Qing concessions to Major Charles Rigault de Genouilly. The following diary excerpt's existence was brought to the attention of Authority personnel implanted in the People's Republic of China in 1970 when linguists stumbled upon it after translating an various encrypted entries made by the late diplomat:8

The joint operations between the People's Republic of China and Authority agents have since secured the tunnels leading to Alpha Quadrant10. Total pacification occurred in 1980 after hostile confrontations with a branch of the ███████ █████ that had been orchestrating their own research endeavors and expeditions in Alpha Quadrant. Dispatched Jade Rabbits paramilitia brought the systematic network of tunnels connecting guerrilla ███████ █████ chambers together to compliance purging all traces of the latter. Site-119 was established after securing the Mount Song entry tunnel.

1. All buildings and objects held inside were engineered with their x-axis inverted. Housing units and temples for example would have their roofs descending downward while the ground-floor would be attached the ceiling.
2. A combination of elliptical star coral (dichocoenia stokesi), crisp pillow coral (anomastraea irregularis), and elegance coral (catalaphyllia jardinei).
3. An angler fish.
4. The organ serves the purpose of luring prey in dark, deep-sea environments and also serves to attract partners.
5. Deep-sea environments below 3300 to 13000 ft.
6. The Second Opium War.
7. Chinese politician, general and diplomat of the late Qing dynasty.
8. Romanized pinyin with several distinct regional dialects rendered in morse-code.
9. The Taiping Rebellion.
10. The mapped territory encompassing RPC-300 below Henan.
11. Statues of guardian lions have traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces usually depicted in bronze or stone and paired with an adjacent lion.
12. A species of deep-sea lobsters.
13. The incestial relationship between two mythological figures credited for the creation of human civilization. Fuxi was an ancient God and one of China's Three Sovereigns who taught the ancient Han people how to domesticate animals. Nüwa was an ancient Goddess credited for molding humans from loess clay and repairing the leaking sky from storms. She is also known as the Goddess of marriage.
14. Used for pyromancy - a form of divination - in the Shang Dynasty. Comprised of pieces of ox scapula. Though contents surfaced from RPC-300 have been made from a variety of flesh derived from creatures held within it.
