Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a humanoid containment cell, outfitted with one camera. No staff may enter SCP-XXXX’s cell nor view SCP-XXXX cell’s camera footage unless they have passed the SCP-XXXX screening process (see below).

Description: SCP-XXXX is an emaciated humanoid figure of indeterminate gender, with two long wings made of human flesh and bone. SCP-XXXX anomalous properties occur when another person views SCP-XXXX either in person or through photographs or videos. Most who view SCP-XXXX will not be affected anomalously, but around 2% hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, become obsessed with their physical appearance, and many begin mutilating themselves in pursuit of physical perfection, often ending in death.

The only remedy for SCP-XXXX-1 is class A amnestics.

SCP-XXXX is obsessed with its physical appearance, stating over and over again “they did it, they made me beautiful.” While SCP-XXXX is lacking eyes, it can still sense the presence of humans and has proven nonhostile.

SCP-XXXX was found in Acorn Ridge Missouri, in October of 1996, after town members reported a series of deaths resulting from self-mutilation. It was found in the storm cellar of the Kelly family. The
The Kelly family was a working-class family from Bennington, Kansas after their previous home burned to the ground. The mother Susanne, the father Dalton, and the youngest daughter daisy escaped unscathed. The eldest Kelly daughter Ashley, received 3rd-degree burns on her face scarring her for life.

At the time of discovery, Mr. Kelly was the only member of the Kelly family, both alive and accounted for. In April of 1996, Ashley went missing, just 6 months after moving. Daisy died due to blood loss from self-inflicted wounds soon after. 2 months after the death of Daisy, Susanne drowned in the bathtub. The police suspected Mr. Kelly but failed to gather enough evidence. Agent Wisner Interviewed Mr. Kelly, see the interview below.

Test 1:
He began screaming that “I must be beautiful” over and over without eating. After 24 hours he managed to bite off his tongue. Soon he began hitting his head against the walls of his cell until the head trauma proved fatal.

Dalton Kelley Interview:
Wisner: Can you tell me anything about SCP-XXXX?
Kelly: What?
Wisner: Excuse me, what can you tell me about the creature we found in the basement?
Kelly: Well… Kelly begins crying she … just wanted to be like the other girls they all made fun of her… its not fair continues crying

SCP-XXXX screening process
During the SCP-XXXX screening process Researchers, Guards and D class must first undergo a psychological evaluation. It is unknown if one’s psychological history makes one more predisposed to SCP-XXXX's effects, and must be researched further.

Subjects are to be restrained and placed within a padded cell, accompanied by a guard. The guard is to expose the subject to a picture of SCP-XXXX digital or physical. The guard is to wait with the subject in the room. If the subject shows no signs of SCP-XXXX-1 after 10-15 minutes, restraints are to be removed, and they are to be freed from the room. They are to be monitored for 24 hours. If the subject shows signs of SCP-XXXX-1 they are to be subdued and Class-A amnestics are to be applied.
