Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2248 is to be contained in a 1 m x 1 m combination lock container at Storage Site-64, with its lid set to the "closed" position. The combination to SCP-2248's container may only be known to the Lead Researcher for SCP-2248 and the Site Director of Site-64. The combination must be changed every 30 days or following a containment breach.

Level 2 Personnel may be granted access to SCP-2248 for specific testing purposes with the approval of the Lead Researcher for SCP-2248. During field testing, personnel authorized to conduct testing must be escorted by one Level 2 security officer armed with a one (1) standard-issue handgun, one (1) standard-issue taser with cartridge for apprehending subjects at range, and one (1) pair of handcuffs. The security personnel is to be made aware of the approved testing regimen for SCP-2248 and must remain in contact with the Lead Researcher for SCP-2248 during field testing. SCP-2248 must remain in a hard-shelled container and remain under the power of the security escort except during testing.

In the event that the researcher responsible for testing attempts to deviate from approved testing protocols, the security officer assigned to SCP-2248 will give one verbal warning to the researcher. If the researcher does not return to the test as established or attempts to attack the security personnel or abandon them while holding SCP-2248, the security personnel may subdue the researcher using non-lethal means. If the security personnel feels that there is a danger of SCP-2248 becoming permanently uncontained, lethal force is authorized.
