Item №: SCP-5000/ 5001
Containment Level: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The cell of SCP-5001 is a 20x30 foot room made of concrete and reinforced with a steal outline. It is to be constantly restrained by leather straps and chains, there must also always be three to four guards outside it's cell to make sure it does not get out, it has a history of this. All guards must be equipped with at least one taser, and the automatic rifle of which their superior officer has given them. If SCP-5001 gets out or tries to get out, all guards are permitted and encouraged to use deadly force. SCP-5001's behavior is aggressive, erratic, and violent, it will attack guards so they as well as any other staff on site during such an even are to evacuate the premises immediately. There are three different security cameras o the inside of it's cell, they are covered by bullet-proof glass and they are to remain on 24/7. It is to only be fed once every three days, it is not to be fed any type of meat whatsoever, it SCP-5001 is to be fed specific types of leaves vegetables such as maple tree leaves and lettuce. This because it grows based on how much flesh it eats and it can and will grow up to 20 feet (6.096 meters) in height and 5.1 (10,200 pounds) tons in weight. This is also virtually the only thing we know about it.
Description: SCP-5001 is a humanoid organism with grey skin and claws two times the size of it's physical hands, as well as plants on it's body, which are foreign to what we know about our ecosystem. It secretes a green substance which as of this point is assumed to be a type of bodily waste, which also happens to be extremely toxic and harmful if breathed in. It has five rows of teeth and three horns on it's head. The behavior of SCP-5001 is very violent and unpredictable, it will be compliant with routine check-ins one day, and then attack the cameras installed in it's cell right after. It's hunting abilities are efficient, quick, and gruesome, hence why it is always restrained.
Background: In 1968 during the Vietnam War, a squadron of thirteen US Marine soldiers were exploring the forests of Tay Ninh, when they found an egg six and a half feet and a half feet tall, and three feet wide. It was attached to the ground and the roots of the Earth, it was also surrounded by paintings on rocks which were presumably made by the locals. After their discovery, the soldiers equipped themselves with their shovels, and they dug it out of the ground. Their was a village nearby, so they called in a truck, and they brought it to the village. After several hours of asking the locals questions, four agents from The Foundation came to the island to confiscate the egg, and interrogate the marines.
After they handed over the information, all of the marines were all lined up, and terminated. After the the marines were dealt with, the egg was brought back to containment facility #437 for study. After a few hours of study, the egg hatched and SCP-5000 escaped. This resulted in a 12 hour conflict between foundation foot soldiers and SCP-5000. It consumed most of the members in the conflict. We now know how it operates to a basic extent, and we now know that it grows based on how much flesh it consumes, our scientists did not know this at the time of the conflict. SCP-5000 grew approximately 18.5 feet (5.6388 meters) in height and 4.8 tons in weight (9600), and it destroyed many pieces of our equipment. It's sized made it extremely easy for SCP-5000 to kill our staff. Our foot soldiers eventually killed SCP-5000, 43 of our foot soldiers were killed in the conflict, most of them were only found in pieces. However as our staff and foot soldiers scoured the inside of containment facility #437 they found several patches of artificially grown leaves, shrubbery, vegetation, and other different types of plants, and then after this they found another egg attached to a weapons crate, the egg was rooted into the granite floor, just as we found SCP-5000 in the jungles of Tay Ninh. SCP-5001 has been held in captivity in containment facility #449 ever since.
