SCP-XXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is to be contained in a 3 meter by 3 meter standard holding cell. Radio jamming devices must be used in the site containing SCP-XXX. On reading of increased radio signals directed towards SCP-XXX's containment area, security personnel armed with M14 TH3 incendiary grenades are to be posted outside of containment. At this point no unauthorized personnel are permitted to enter the containment area until event SCP-XXX-1 has ended. After experiments with SCP-XXX-2 are concluded it is to be destroyed by means of incineration. At this point security and access to SCP-XXX will return to original levels. All materials used in experiments during this time must first be approved by a bereau of level-3 researchers with past experience with SCP-XXX.

Description: SCP-XXX is a stainless steel trash can of the brand █████, it was found in the home of Dr. ████ ██████ in Llano, Texas after neighbors reported a constant screeching (later identified as a child's plastic whistle). SCP-XXX's anomalous properties can first be observed when an object is placed into it's body. The object will be able fall into a pit estimated to be 200 meters deep. Attempt to communicate with the object dropped into the pit have been met with no returning messages.

Upon a seemingly random interval, radio communications will begin from an unknown source directed at SCP-XXX, the messages, when decoded. Come out to be sounds similar to morse code, although the order of the dots and dashes are of a seemingly random interval. After approximately 3 days, event SCP-XXX-1 will commence. During this process, the lid of SCP-XXX will open and expel an object officially classified as SCP-XXX-2.

SCP-XXX-2 is an object of seemingly random origins that has been previously placed into the can. This object has anomalous properties seemingly dependent on the object itself and natural traits that have been amplified. Another common feature is their vulnerability to high temperatures and damage caused by fire. To date, no living organism has ever been produced from SCP-XXX. For further information about each object, review the experiment logs attached to this document.

Experiment Log:
Date: 2/4/████
Produced Object (SCP-XXX-2): A 19██ era stopwatch running twice as fast as usual
Subject: D-XXX-1
Result: Upon contact with SCP-XXX-2, D-XXX-1 was able to run twice as quickly as previously demonstrated. Using this speed D-XXX-1 attempted an escape and was neutralized. Upon autopsy no change to the body was noted. SCP-XXX-2 was then destroyed by incineration.

Date: 6/7/████
Produced Object (SCP-XXX-2): A 2x4x8 plank of wood that was previously dropped in by research staff
Subject: D-XXX-2
Result: Subject was given access to a wide array power tools and instructed to attempt to break the wooden board by any means necessary. Upon attempt to damage with a circular saw, blade was dulled to a point of being inoperable. After other repeated failures to damage SCP-XXX-2. Subject was sent back to their cell. Researchers then looked into the chemical composition to find it was mainly composed of tungsten, while remaining the look and texture of a wooden plank. Object was incarcerated upon request by Dr. Mitchell.
Notes: It appears that objects previously dropped in are subject to SCP-XXX-1, we will have to keep an eye out for our objects in the future.
Date: 4/29/████
Produced Object (SCP-XXX-2): An Ixodes scapularis (Tick)
Subject: D-XXX-2
Result: Upon subject entering room, SCP-XXX-2 attached to arm and began feeding on blood at an accelerated rate. Within 30 seconds, D-XXX-2 was dead due to extreme blood loss. A security guard proceeded to throw an incendiary grenade into the room. Causing SCP-XXX-2 to be destroyed.
Notes: Fuck, what was that? If this device is able to produce living organisms that pose a threat to this organization then we need to update the object class. This could pose a threat to anyone who interacts with it.

Addendum

RE: Object Class reassignment of SCP-XXX
The board has approved your request to change the object class of SCP-XXX to Euclid, good luck in further research on this anomaly Dr. Mitchell.

RE: Classification of SCP-XXX-2 to own SCP classification
Your request to identify each new Iteration of SCP-XXX to its own SCP classification has been denied. Not enough information points to it being a necessary action this foundation needs to take to keep SCP-XXX contained.
