Containment procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard wooden locked box with its mirror facing the bottom of the box, within a basic containment chamber. No reflective items are to be present in the containment chamber. The chamber may only be accessed by those with a security clearance of 2 or higher. 1 armed guard is to be posted outside the chamber and minimal surveillance is required. SCP-XXXX's box is not too be opened unless for the sole purpose of testing, in which case if it must be taken from its chamber, it is too be transported within its box as to prevent its memetic effects. Under no circumstances should SCP-XXXX be brought anywhere with reflective objects. All personnel who view SCP-XXXX are to be moved to a room with no reflective object's for 1 week. Any and all instances of SCP-XXXX-A that may be created in testing, are too be removed and destroyed, then replaced by D-Class as to prevent important research staff from suffering the SCP's effects.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small hand held mirror, Victorian in design. its grip and frame is made from rose marble while the mirror is made from regular flat glass sheets, with a layer of silver behind it. Whenever someone views themselves in SCP-XXXX (who will now be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1), their reflection will show an injury of varying severity somewhere on their face, and instantaneously the same injury will be inflicted upon the viewer. these injurys have ranged from; Paper cuts, gashes, burns, bruises, stab wounds and scrapes, Repeated viewings will cause injurys of increasing severity, typically ending with decapitation upon the 5th or 6th viewing. If SCP-XXXX-1 views any reflective objects within a week of viewing SCP-XXXX, the reflective object in question, will become another instance of SCP-XXXX,(referred to as SCP-XXXX-A) and Behave in the same manner. Destruction of SCP-XXXX-A instances has proven to wipe all anomalous effect's from the remains. If any human stands within a 10MX10M area, they will reportedly hear whispering's of living, and deceased loved ones beckoning them to look into the mirror. Although this effect is hard to resist, it has been proven to be resistable to those capable, furthermore, this effect seems to be blocked by any solid object, such as its wooden containment box.
Aquisition: SCP-XXXX's exsistance was first brought to the foundations attention when the foundation tapped into a 999 call in England from the town of ██████ on 6/9/████, in which a distressed female claimed her daughter had been decapitated after repeated viewing of SCP-XXXX, which she had found in their basement. Mobile task force were dispatched to their position, the woman was treated with amnestics and a cover story stating that a known murderer in the area was responsible for the decapatation. MTF then escorted SCP-XXXX to the foundation where its anomalous property's were discovered.
Addendum-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX's effects have begun to "leak" out of its chamber, but rather than enticing those to view it, it has begun to try convince others to "free it from their reflective prison." Orders were given to ignore it if possible and if not, to avoid that particular path sector and to be reassigned elsewhere temporarily. All attempts to modify the cell have ended in the personnel defecting and attempting to "free" the SCP. requests for an interview with the SCP from personnel effected have been rejected.
Addendum-XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX's have seemingly streghtened, personnel have begun to defect and try break into the containment chamber. Guards have been posted around the perimeter of SCP-XXXX's effects. any personnel attempting to break in are to be dealt with using lethal force if required. Requests for an interview are now being considered.
Addendum-XXXX-3: Requests for an interview have been accepted due to the SCP's ever growing effects.

*Dr. Gaige appears to enter a trance. he faces the mirror and lifts it and turns it to face him, without any sign of SCP-XXXX's usual effects.*
