Item #: XXXX
Object Class: Euclid/Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A is to be removed from physical contact with any personnel, with the exception of D-Class or volunteers submitted for testing. It is of the highest priority that all remains of testing personnel and/or exposed objects be incinerated and placed into SCP-████. The standard conditions of SCP-XXXX should be kept constant at a vacuum, with no matter outside of the containment cradle in direct contct with SCP-XXXX-A. If, at any point, the containment cradle is breached, an Incident-5-5-9 scenario is to be declared and the appropriate procedures are to be followed.
The containment cradle is to be submerged in a container full of approximately suspended in a solution of 1.5 mol/dm3 citric acid, kept in a solid state at between 70 and 90 Kelvin. At no point is the containment cradle to make contact with the walls of the container.
As of the present moment, no cure for SCP-XXXX exists, and as such the primary aim of the containment procedures is to prevent the spread of XXXX. All operations involving XXXX are to be overseen by Dr █████ Mann
Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a small (approximately 5cm x 3cm) scrap of hessian fabric, partially dyed blue in a pattern whcih matches the company logo for ████████ ███████████, a grocery buisness notable for their closure as a result of numerous lawsuits originating from ███████, England. SCP-XXXX-A appears to be irreversibly contaminated with SCP-XXXX, meaning so far it has resisted most conventional means of decontamination, including but not limited to exposure to extreme heat, PH levels, and SCP-███. While XXXX-A has retained its contamination with XXXX, multiple mediums have proven effective at slowing the spread of SCP-XXXX, notably citric acid, which is currently used in XXXX's containment procedures.
SCP-XXXX itself is an anomalous condition, bearing many signs of a pathogen borne infection yet presenting no identifiable microorganisms. Speculation aside, XXXX has been observed to spread solely through physical contact with contaminated objects, and is capable of spreading by diffusive infection of air particulates at a rate of approximately 0.14m/s in standard atmospheric conditions. At the time of writing, unicellular organisms show no symptoms of XXXX and are "safe" from XXXX.
Contamination of a complex multicellular organism with XXXX has so far resulted universally in self-termination in an attempt to relieve the effects of SCP-XXXX, which manifest the same in every exposed text subject.
