Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard small item containment locker, in a labelled cover. SCP-XXXX is not to be placed in contact or direct proximity with research documents or other books outside of testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX, in its inactive state, is a blank hardcover book with 288 pages. SCP-XXXX is inert and non-anomalous while inactive.
SCP-XXXX becomes active when placed near or touching any book, document, or other text. When SCP-XXXX becomes active, it begins to vibrate at a low frequency, and emits a pen-like scratching sound accompanied by the sound of fluttering papers, before becoming inert. The process takes between 15 minutes to a couple hours.
During the process, the size and dimensions of the item will undergo small changes, after which the item will have written itself into a political manifesto based on nearby literature material. The nature of the material exposed to SCP-XXXX, be it political or otherwise, is irrelevant, and a manifesto will always be produced1. The manifesto lasts for a time in minutes equal to its current page count, before SCP-XXXX returns to its inert state.
