Item #: SCP-XXXXObject Class: Safe |
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently located in the antimemetics wing of Site-17 and is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell until further notice. The cell of SCP-XXXX is not to be entered at any time other than feeding or authorized testing. Staff are not to interact with SCP-XXXX unless authorized. All information not mentioned is included under standard Safe Humanoid Containment Procedures. SCP-XXXX is be allowed access to a personal therapist once a week.
All personnel working on SCP-XXXX are to take two (2) capsules of Class W mnestics from the Site-17 pharmacy daily.
Note: As for all antimemetic Site-17 SCPs, triple check that all processes to receive mnestics are a go. We don’t want another event like the failed mnestics delivery three years ago in which we lost six antimemetic humanoid SCPs when the pharmacy forgot to get a new mnestics batch, and all antimemetics personnel forgot about their role at Site-17. The remaining humanoids were all suffering from starvation. Had this SCP been in Foundation custody by then she would have been first to go.
P.S. I hate writing the word “antimemetic” more than once in one fucking sentence.
-Dr. Lenora Garrett
Updated Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 24 year old Caucasian female approximately 168 centimeters in height and shows signs of malnutrition. Loss of higher brain function is extremely common likely due to the object’s anomalous properties. If SCP-XXXX shows higher brain function or retains its former memories, questioning is advised as soon as possible before it goes back to its former state. If the object begins to show loss of higher brain function or former memories, the object must be treated with Class W mnestics before it loses memory, and an investigation into the occurrence must be documented as well as the object’s mental state before the event.
SCP-XXXX has a weak antimemetic property that prevents her existence from being recognized or noticed by any human not taking mnestics, including itself. When not under mnestics, SCP-XXXX is incapable of any typical human function, and is only capable of remembering to eat or drink whenever a water or food is placed within direct line of sight. Whether SCP-XXXX causes
When subjects taking mnestics view SCP-XXXX, they are able to recognize the fact that the object is there and can view it as if it were a normal human. Knowledge of SCP-XXXX fades away as mnestics wear off and all attempts to point out the object to a subject have failed even after mnestic treatments.
Addendum SCP-XXXX-1: During an experiment1 to test if SCP-XXXX could retain thought through antimemetic medication, mnestics were administered to SCP-XXXX resulting the object to “remember that it was human”. During questioning, SCP-XXXX said that it did not remember anything about itself and was confused and worried about its location. SCP-XXXX seemed incapable of remembering anything from prior to the mnestics. SCP-XXXX also showed the ability to use the brain properly to retain information over the course of the next several hours. As mnestics wore off, SCP-XXXX entered its prevent state of little to no sentience. Further experimentation awaiting.
Addendum SCP-XXXX-2: Experiment SCP-XXXX-08 and Experiment SCP-XXXX-09 wielded similar results with some new information, but were otherwise the same. For more information, please see Experiment Log SCP-XXXX for full documentation on experiments. During Experiment XXXX-10, SCP-XXXX and Dr. Lenora Garrett had a conversation in which Garrett informed the object of information on it, including its anomaly. The conversation resulted in SCP-XXXX asking to be put on the same medication the staff are on so that it does not forget who it is. SCP-XXXX appears to be afraid of forgetting its existence. This would make handling SCP-XXXX considerably easier and could temporarily neutralize its abilities. Mnestic Treatment is currently pending authorization.
Note: I have heard talk of several staff members working on SCP-XXXX requesting mnestic treatment for it. Let me clear this up for you all. Fuck no! This object may be humanoid, but that does not make it human. Skips should not treated as humans. They need to be secured, contained, and protected. Emotional connection with a skip violates your ability to treat it as such. The next person to try to side with the skip will be reevaluated immediately. It is not a human. It’s just another one of these goddamn monsters.
-Dr. Victor Hobbes
Note: Dear Hobbes,
SCP-XXXX is a human, not a monster like you. I had a talk with the Ethics Committee and SCP-XXXX has been granted constant access to mnestics daily in order to be the normal fitting in human she wants to be. Oh, and by the way I was reevaluated, I passed because I have actual respect for my job rather than just hatred towards anomalies. And by the way, stop referring to her as an object. Just because she is an SCP doesn't mean we can just strip away her rights. Due to your bigotry towards anomalies, I am now set to take your position in 2 months.Sincerely,
Dr. Lenora Garrett
Addendum SCP-XXXX-3: SCP-XXXX had begun to show signs of depression for several days before opening up about it. The following interview took place between SCP-XXXX and its therapist.
Interview Log SCP-XXXX-17-09-2018
Date: 17 September 2018
Interviewer: Dr. Patrizio
Interviewee: SCP:XXXX
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Patrizio: Good afternoon XXXX, how are you today.
SCP-XXXX: Could be better.
Dr. Patrizio: You've been pretty quiet the past few days. I heard you were refusing to respond in tests and you didn't speak at all last weeks session. Is there anything wrong?
SCP-XXXX: …
Dr. Patrizio: You know these conversations are personal right? No one can hear this except you and me. I won't tell anybody. I just want to figure out why you're having such a hard time.
SCP-XXXX: … (Wait's several seconds before answering) I'm not a human in their eyes. I'm just a piece of shit on the ground. Hell I don't even remember what ground fucking looks like! What's that word they keep calling me? Skip? No one gives a crap about me. You know that in my file I am labeled as "object" and "it" in order to dehumanize me. I'm in a fucking prison cell, and the best part? If I somehow escape, I die. I won't be able to remember myself and I'll just be invisible on the side of the road eating my own crap and no one will notice me. What's the fucking point anymore? (SCP-XXXX is starting to cry at this point.)
Dr. Patrizio: If that's how you feel, I will do everything in my power to help you. I can get you antidepressants, we'll start-
SCP-XXXX: No, you can't help me.
Dr. Patrizio: What do you mean? Of course I can help yo-
SCP-XXXX: You're lying.
Dr. Patrizio: XXXX, I promise I would never lie to you.
SCP-XXXX: You already did2.
SCP-XXXX refuses to answer all questioning for the remainder of the interview.
[END LOG]
SCP-XXXX did not speak or respond to personnel in anyway following this event. SCP-XXXX also began starving herself until she eventually "erased herself" by ceasing medication. When SCP-XXXX began the medication again, she had no knowledge of any of this happening.
Note: Maybe this wouldn't have happened if Hobbes didn't treat her like shit. I am requesting that Dr. Victor Hobbes be transferred to a different project of
