Containment Cell: SCP-5834 is to be contained within a 5 m x 5 m honeycomb cell. The 3 layers located within the cell are as followed:
Layer 1: Layer 1 surrounds most of the cell. It is the basic research center.
Layer 2: Layer 2 is fit in-between the research layer and the SCP itself, fit inside this layer is an incineration device that is to be activated in an lock down state.
Layer 3: Layer 3 holds the SCP itself, SCP-5834 sits on a pedestal in this room.
Description: SCP-5834 is a gas substance located inside a space rock that split open upon landing on Earth. Upon discovery, SCP-5834 was found with an human subject around 25 m away from SCP-5834. It was later discovered they were infected by SCP-5834. Both the SCP and the human were brought back to Site: [REDACTED] and were both put in containment cells. SCP-5834 was put in a standard object cell, whilst the human was put inside an standard humanoid cell, here we researched the infection stages. After 8hrs of research of the human subject, they had became an instance known as SCP-5834-2 which needed immediate containment, keter class containment. After discovering was SCP-5834 was capable of, it had an containment cell specially designed to stop any unwanted infections spreading. Upon more testing it was later discovered that SCP-5834-2 instance was rare as everyone other test subject had transition into what is now labeled SCP-5834-3.
SCP-5834 Infection Stages:
Stage 1: Stage 1 occurs immediately after the inhale of SCP-5834. Symptoms include an severe headache
Stage 2: Stage 2 occurs 30min after the initial inhale of SCP-5834. Symptoms include rashes appearing on the elbows, chest, dorsum and forehead
Stage 3: Stage 3 occurs 2hrs after the initial inhale of SCP-5834. Symptoms include lumps appearing on the rashes, bleeding eyes and high pitched screaming
Stage 4: Stage 4 occurs 4hrs after the initial inhale of SCP-5834. Symptoms include horns bursting out of the lumps located on the rashes and blindness due to the blood in the eyes
Stage 5: Stage 5 occurs 5hrs after the initial inhale of SCP-5834. Symptoms include skin turning black and growth of the horns.
Stage 6: Stage 6 occurs 6hrs after the initial inhale of SCP-5834. Now the subjects skin has gone completely black but the screaming has stopped.
Stage 7: Stage 7 occurs 7-8hrs after the initial inhale of SCP-5834. The subject lets out an substance that resembles smoke. The subject rest in the smoke then after 1-2hrs the subject comes out as SCP-5834-3
Addendum: Discovery
SCP-5834 was discovered on the 12/03/19. It was found on the east coast of Australia near an popular beach. Here it and the human subject were relocated to Site: [REDACTED] and immediately started research.
