Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5499 is to always be kept in 3 m x 3 m x 3 m airtight titanium
cube. This cube needs to be surrounded by liquid nitrogen Which is to be enclosed by a second titanium cube. There are to be at least 3 working loud speakers on each inside wall and daily checks to make sure at least 3 are working is mandatory.These speakers are to be playing any type of music on full volume 24/7. Any gas inside the airtight cube other than carbon dioxide Is not permitted, anybody found trying to swap or extract the carbon Dioxide is to be shot on sight.

Description: SCP-5490 is made up of a matter that is currently unidentified as anything within 20 meters of it slowly deteriorates until nothing but but bone remain.The matter seems to be a pure black canvas but on closer inspection there is actually millions of small cockroach shaped creatures crawling around its skin which seems to be made out of bones currently undiscovered.
These bones seem to be mismatched and don't exactly seem to be its own biological bones It also seems to have animal bones as what appears to be a antler sticks up from one side of the anomalies "head". To a greater extent this anomaly seems to be harmless but the fact that you will deteriorate when within its existing range makes it difficult to properly contain.
Another main factor of this SCP is the fact that it can move through any material although it does not know what is behind the material.There are only a handful of materials it can see through which are Titanium,Lead and Wood.This SCP however has an extreme fear of liquid nitrogen as it destroys its layer of "bug skin" hens the titanium and liquid nitrogen in its cell.
This SCP also seems to have the ability to take control of ones mind by Forming its victims greatest fears using any gas but carbon dioxide which puts it in a docile state.It will then put the victim in a misfit of fear as they attempt to scramble away which opens a part of the brain which controls fear leaving it vulnerable for SCP-5499 to control. The only thing that can interrupt this process is by noise that is at least 250 decibels or over.
This SCP was first located in 1943 when it was possessing and old homeless man who had assaulted 2 police officers.When news first hit that a man with pure black eyes and skin was chasing and attempting to slit local police officers throat this instantly pricked up ears at the foundation.Under closer inspection they discovered its weaknesses and were able to locate its weaknesses and put it in a docile state which after containment was enhanced to ensure the safety of all personnel.
