SCP-XXXX ''Servers of Locked Minds''

SCP-XXXX

rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Any incidents regarding SCP-XXXX are to be reported to the closest available Foundation Intelligence Agency office immediately.
Four (4) Foundation Intelligence Agency offices have been tasked to locate and search most recently created Discord servers for any instances of SCP-XXXX:

  • Tokyo office
  • Hamburg office
  • Washington DC office
  • Cairo office

The Foundation Intelligence Agency office in Tokyo has been assigned the task to locate the source for the instances of SCP-XXXX. Investigations are lead by Dr. ███████. The investigations haven't been yet successful, but several suspects have been suggested.
Victims (referred to as SCP-XXXX-A) of SCP-XXXX are to be carried to the nearest available Foundation Medical Department, until they are no longer in the comatose state caused by SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-A:s are to be registered Class-B Amnestics once they exit the comatose state, and must be returned immediately to where they were found.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a collective group for Discord servers. The amount of SCP-XXXX:s is unknown, as new instances of SCP-XXXX appear and disappear. Servers seem to last for roughly 2-3 weeks, or until they are shut down by a third party. Currently the estimated amount of these servers is assumed to be around 10-20. Typically these servers tend to have a user base of 20-50 members.
When a user (referred to as SCP-XXXX-A) of the Discord application enters SCP-XXXX, the server will greet them with a message, saying ''Hello! To keep the server more secure, you must wait 10 minutes before you can send any messages in the channels. Please wait, and welcome to the server'' (Interview XXXX-1). The greeting message and the application used for the server are the only things in common between the servers.

After 10 minutes have passed, if SCP-XXXX-A sends a message to any of the channels in SCP-XXXX, they will immediately enter a comatose state (See Test log Test XXXX-A - 1.4.2017). The comatose state will last as long as SCP-XXXX-A's user account1 remains in the Discord server. If SCP-XXXX-A's user account leaves SCP-XXXX, they will wake up from the coma immediately. Interviews with SCP-XXXX-A:s have concluded that while remaining in SCP-XXXX, they are unable to switch between any applications or Discord servers. Communicating vie messages in SCP-XXXX seems to be the only action that SCP-XXXX-A's consciousness is able to perform (Interview XXXX-1).

People who are witnessing SCP-XXXX-A enter the comatose state are not affected physically.
SCP-XXXX-A's user account is still able to send messages into the server even if SCP-XXXX-A is in a coma. It is suggested that the consciousness of SCP-XXXX-A is somehow transferred into SCP-XXXX, locking them into the server until they leave said server. SCP-XXXX-A's consciousness is unable to feel, taste, smell, see nor hear anything during their time in the comatose state (Interview XXXX-1).

Discovery: The first instance of SCP-XXXX was discovered 23-4-2016 at [REDACTED FOR BREVITY] in Tokyo. The victim of SCP-XXXX was Eiji Fumihiro, who was found in a comatose state by his mother, Kayia Fumihiro in his room. Eiji was transferred via ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Tokyo. Subject remained in a coma for 2 weeks, after which the subject woke up in great distress. Subject was talking about his experiences in his coma, and was sent to a psychological re-evaluation. Eiji Fumihiro was confirmed psychologically completely healthy. His experiences were regarded as simple dreaming during his comatose state.

The attention of the Foundation was drawn after 4 similar incidents which happened in [REDACTED FOR BREVITY] during the timespan of 18-6-2016 - 13-2-2017. Interviews concluded that every subject had the same kinds of experiences during their comatose state, talking about what they interpreted as ''having their own thoughts being intruded by some other people's thoughts'' (See Interview XXXX-1). In addition, all the interviewed subjects said that their ''dreams'' ceased immediately upon ''exiting the server''.

The total amount of SCP-XXXX-A:s was 98, that were spread across 19 instances of SCP-XXXX.
