SCP-5000 First Investigative Report
Conducting Investigators: Dr. David Johnson (Foundation), Mr. Charles Raymond (A.I.D.)
Objective(s) of Investigation:
- Recovery of the anomaly designated as SCP-5000.
- Inspection of Foundation Site-73.
Background of Investigation: On 07-11-1987, Foundation Site-83 updated the Foundation database with a file regarding an anomaly designated as SCP-5000. The lack of information in the file led to its removal from the database the next day.
Since its removal, Foundation Site-83 has failed to give its usual monthly site updates or have contacted RAISA about the removal of the file.
The anomaly known as SCP-5000 is noted to be Foundation Site-83's first officially recorded anomaly since its establishment as a site.
Timeline of Investigation:
05-01-1988: The first attempt is made to contact Foundation Site-83's Director. No response is received.
06-01-1988: The second attempt is made to contact Foundation Site-83's Director. No response is received.
07-01-1988: All available files regarding Foundation Site-83 are pulled from the database. Only one file on it is found.

Site-83 First Expedition
Expedition Participants: MTF Alpha-5 ('Site-Diggers')
Expedition Date: 9 January 1988
Expedition Log:
Alpha-5-1: Do you see anything?
Alpha-5-4: Shit ton of dust. It's almost like no one here bothered to clean or open any windows.
Alpha-5-1: Can you get a clear visual of the room?
Alpha-5-3: Stand by, switching on the lights. (Clicking) Room's empty. Tables and chairs full of dust.
Alpha-5-1: Any evidence of human activity?
Alpha-5-4: Negative. No one's been in this room for quite some time.
Alpha-5-1: Move to the next room.
Alpha-5-2: Roger. (Shuffling) We're in the next room. Inspecting the room now.
Alpha-5-3: Standby, we might have found something. (Shuffling) Shit.
Alpha-5-1: What do you see, 5-3?
Alpha-5-3: We found a picture frame, but there's no picture. It's just a generic stock photo.
Alpha-5-1: What do you mean?
Alpha-5-3: 5-1, there is something wrong. All of these rooms do not appear to have been occupied at all. There's no human activity on the site at all. It's deathly quiet.
Alpha-5-1: That doesn't make sense, 5-3. A site should normally have something. See if you can find anything else in the facility.
Alpha-5-4: Roger, standby. (Shuffling) There seems to be something, a statue in a containment unit. It seems to be the only other thing out of place.
Alpha-5-1: Might be an SCP. Standby, do not move the object first.
Alpha-5-4: Roger.
10-01-1988: First Expedition Team successfully returns with the object believed to be SCP-5000. SCP-5000 is transferred to Site-18 for further research. An email is sent to the 05 Council inquiring about Foundation Site-83.
12-01-1988: A reply to the email is received from the 05 Council official representative.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
As far as we know, Site-83 is one of the oldest sites in the history of the Foundation. However, from the results of the investigation that you have sent to us, we do note a discrepancy in the existence of the Site itself.
For now, you are authorised to move any anomalies from the Site to other sites. Site-83 will be placed under a temporary lockdown until further notice.
- 05 Council Representative
13-01-1988: Foundation Site-83 is placed under a temporary lockdown. Site Director John Cooper is presumed to be non-existent and removed from the official database, along with the Site-83 document.
