Special Containment Procedures:
—SCP-4741 is to be sealed in the center of a 3m x 3m x 3m cube of rebar-reinforced concrete. The cube is to be kept in a Mobile Task Force etc. etc. are to supervise the — Following the events of Incident 4741-3, Special Containment Procedures have been revised to avoid the “retrieval abilities” of SCP-4741. As contact between SCP-4741 and SCP-4741-1 appears to be unavoidable, containment procedures should focus wholly on the immediate termination of SCP-4741-1 following its manifestation.
SCP-4741 is to be kept in a 15m x 15m containment chamber fitted with motion-sensing cameras etc.
Any testing involving SCP-4741 must first have permission from the on-duty site administrator, and be carried out within SCP-4741’s chamber. Before testing, the automatic laser system should be deactivated, and the supervisor should be ready to activate the manual override. If SCP-4741 manifests during testing, all personnel should evacuate the chamber before the laser system is activated.

Any personnel who have come into direct contact with SCP-4741 are to be immediately fitted with an explosive ankle bracelet and immediately quarantined. As no evidence indicates that the effects of SCP-4741 are contagious, affected personnel may, under supervision, continue to use Foundation facilities normally during Stage 1 and Stage 2. At the supervisor’s discretion, affected personnel should be quarantined or terminated before reaching Stage 3.
Any quarantined instances of SCP-4741-2 are to be kept in a standard humanoid containment chamber and be tested upon only with the permission of the on-duty site administrator. If a breach occurs on site, all instances of SCP-4741-2 are to be terminated via detonation of their ankle bracelet and all testing is to be ceased.

Description:
SCP-4741 appears to be an ordinary Greek-style xiphos. The blade of SCP-4741 is 44 cm long and primarily composed of iron, while the hilt is 24-karat gold with a large topaz embedded in the rounded pommel. Trace amounts of leather on the blade and hilt indicate a sheath, but no such object was found upon post-recovery investigation. Subsequent carbon-dating of the leather indicated SCP-4741 is at least ████ years old.
SCP-4741 was recovered in ██████, Greece on ██/██/2007 when local resident ████ ████████, his wife, and two children found SCP-4741 buried in the ground next to [REDACTED]. According to his wife, ████████ pulled the sword from the ground and stowed it in his backpack, intending to melt down the hilt. Approximately 90 hours after initial contact, he transformed into SCP-4741-2 [See Incident Report 4741-1].
SCP-4741's anomalous properties manifest in two ways. The first way is manifesting SCP-4741-1. The second is affecting live humans within a fifteen (15) meter radius with a desire to touch SCP-4741. When a human does touch SCP-4741, they will begin the process involved in turning into SCP-4741-2.
SCP-4741-1 is an entity that occasionally manifests near SCP-4741, usually within a 1-meter radius. SCP-4174-1 appears to be a skinless, extremely muscular humanoid with very slim ankles. SCP-4741-1, when manifested, will attempt to use SCP-4741 to kill all nearby sentient creatures other than itself and SCP-4741-2 [See Incident Report 4741-2]. Because of SCP-4741's second anomalous property, those injured by SCP-4741-1 in this manner turn into SCP-4741-2, and the bodies of those killed by SCP-4741 have been observed to posthumously undergo the same process.

SCP-4741-2 are instances of humans who touched or were killed by SCP-4741. Finished instances of SCP-4741-2 have no skin, have no discernible gender, and are extremely muscular, except for the heels, which are held together by an overgrown Achilles tendon. In order to reach this stage however, affected persons go through three stages:

Stage 1: 6-12 hours after exposure: Visible increase of aggression, strength, and testosterone levels in all subjects, including females. Subject’s eyes acquire a darker tone. Skin becomes drier and is prone to flaking. Subjects report severe headaches, but no pain from damaged skin.
Stage 2: 24-72 hours after exposure: Drastic increase in aggression and strength, though no increase in testosterone is visible. Muscle tissue begins to swell. Skin, hair, and reproductive organs begin to slough off. Wild hallucinations are common; subjects no longer know who or where they are. Many express great pain due to their deteriorating physical state, as well as a desire to recontact SCP-4741, claiming it will cure their injuries and “give them great power”. A few cases have documented subjects speaking Ancient Greek despite no prior knowledge of the language.
Stage 3: approximately 96 hours after exposure: Vocal patterns cease; subjects emit only grunting and screaming noises. While still walking bipedally, behavioral patterns emulate those of a wild animal, and basic sentience is lost, aside from an urge to specifically target humans when attacking. Subject is now considered an instance of SCP-4741-2, and appropriate containment procedures are to be followed.

Incident Report 4741-1: After his transformation into SCP-4741-2, ████ went on a rampage and proceeded to attack and kill most in the immediate vicinity via strangulation and bludgeoning with his fists. [A total of ██ civilians were killed] r e v i s e

Incident Report 4741-2: SCP-4741 had been temporarily contained at [REDACTED] immediately following recovery by Foundation personnel when it manifested SCP-4741-1. SCP-4741-1 proceeded to attack all humans in sight with SCP-4741 [A total of ██ foundation personnel and █ civilians were killed. Class-B amnestics were applied to all known sources of information in relation to the incident, cover-up is still underway.

Incident Report 4741-3: On ██/██/2007, SCP-4741 manifested SCP-4741-1 outside of SCP-4741’s containment. SCP-4741-1 then breached containment, punching through the concrete cube SCP-4741 was contained in and pulled the sword free. Immediately after, on-site security personnel engaged SCP-4741-1 and neutralized it. ██ personnel were killed during this incident. Special Containment Procedures updated.

SCP-4542 is to be placed in a standard safe anomalous object container at site-49. In order to run experiments involving SCP-4525, first receive permission from Dr. Guards.

Description:
SCP-4525 is a metal pencil compass approximately five inches long. In order for SCP-4525's anomalous properties to be observed, type 2 graphite must be loaded and then tightened into the hole on SCP-4525's second arm. SCP-4525's anomalous properties manifest when the user attempts to draw a circle with SCP-4525. Instead of SCP-4525 drawing a circle, it will instead draw a square of equal side length to the diameter of the circle that would have been drawn.
