SCP-4251 "Photographic Memory Rock"

Item #: SCP-4251

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-4251 are to be kept in a 3x3 m room in all sites and areas, and taken at a constant rate by MTF Units. The door is locked by a level 2 card reader. It is to be kept under an extremely bright light and in an extremely moist environment.

Description: SCP-4251 are blue colored, extremely soft and edible rocks. Upon eating one, the subject will retain photographic memory for about 7.5 hours. Any information that is perceived by the photographic memory will remain, even through usage of memetics. If not kept in a moist environment, SCP-4251 will melt into a toxic liquid that is capable of melting the intestines. The rocks were found in a forest near █████ City when a group of students, who were intoxicated by drugs, found them and ate them. They were later arrested, and, still intoxicated, told the police about the rocks, who later contacted the SCP Foundation. The SCP Foundation investigated and concluded that the rocks were not negatively affecting any of the students.

The rocks reproduction takes about 2 days, but is sped up to about 1.5 days under bright light.
