Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept at site-15 within a large concrete 15 x 15 meter cell. Motion sensors are to be installed within the cell and any movement should be documented. SCP-XXXX is only to be observed directly by D-Class personnel. Any attempt to access camera feed should be documented and reported to site security. Any D-Class observing SCP-XXXX as part of an experiment should be accompanied by at least two site security officers.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a large Gorilla-like creature standing at 11 feet tall. Chromosome composition has a 99% match with the Western Lowland Gorilla, leading researchers to believe the creature to be of African origin. The weight of the specimen in question is currently unknown. SCP-XXXX has been observed to have white hair but a peach colored skin, visible mainly around the mouth. SCP-XXXX holds a large sphere made of an unknown substance with a basic rendition of a world map.
SCP-XXXX is noted to stand completely still when not in visible contact, this also includes any and all consumption of food and water. any sustenance provided for SCP-XXXX will reportedly deteriorate and eventually disappear. X-Ray tests have provided a possible theory that the material in question re-atomizes within the supposed stomach of the being, but there is still no confirmation.
The only noted times in which SCP-XXXX moves is when it is being observed by humans. If the observation is occurring using camera technology, SCP-XXXX will move in a traditional primate fashion, walking on its knuckles and feet. It will move to face the camera and reportedly smile. Subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX have reported hearing a low quality voice, possibly static-like. The 'voice' seems to always repeat a simple phrase; "Buddy is here.".
Individuals exposed to visual contact with SCP-XXXX will begin a fast paced conversion to full-on psychosis. At first sight, subjects often report a feeling of "fuzziness" present within the brain, along side the 'voice' aforementioned. Subjects soon become entranced and hypnotized, often moving closer to whatever's showing them the Anomaly. after around thirty seconds SCP-XXXX begins emitting extremely high levels of light, ranging from the bottom of the UV spectrum, to the highest point within the Infrared spectrum. visible light is recorded to usually peak at around 120 Kiloluxes, and autopsies confirm that this blinds the subject 100% of the time. In physical contact, SCP-XXXX is known to emit around 400 decibels of sound, deafening the subject as well.
The loss of both senses is the final trigger for the anomaly caused Psychosis. Any individual to reach this final stage should be labeled SCP-XXXX-1. Subjects are observed to attack any nearby human being, thrashing, swinging, and some times using objects nearby either as weapons or projectiles. Subjects also appear to lose all sense of pain and\or feeling at all, meaning that traditional combat tactics may prove inefficient in disabling instances of SCP-XXXX-1. After termination, it is vital that any organism possibly affected by SCP-XXXX be incinerated. As of now, there is no way to remove the affects of SCP-XXXX once the subject has made either visual or physical contact. Use of SCP-500 has been green-lit, and the test is scheduled for [].
Addendum: Discovery.
SCP-XXXX was discovered after a series of disappearances occurred 50Km North of ██████, Sweden. Mobile Task Force Megalo-3 (King Kong) was deployed to the area after aerial confirmation of the size of the target. The unit suffered heavy casualties with 19 confirmed KIA, 21 MIA, and 15 suffering minor to life threatening injuries. Soon following the failed containment and documented affects of SCP-XXXX, Mobile Task Force Eta-10 was deployed and successfully managed to lure the being into a solid cage.
