Special Containment Procedures-
As of yet, the item is currently uncontained by the foundation, its younger variant is currently known as the coronavirus, and was contained by the Chinese Government until its untimely escape. Due to the large quantities of radiation and subsequent pollution in the area, this mutated and changed the dormant coronavirus into something far worse. First instances of the object were discovered in a small Chinese town, ██████████████. Where several civilians and Chinese officers had become 1st instances of the SCP. Should any be discovered, it must be reported to the highest level of 05 or site mangers on hand and contained immediately to Avoid further spread.
Description: SCP @#! it is a small seed, approximately the size of a small grain seed. It was first discovered by Chinese local authorities after several civilians complained of stomach pain, Police found the insides of the patients affected by what appeared to be roots stretching through their vital organs and encasing themselves around the victims heart. If planted or otherwise Consumed, the SCP gets to work immediately on whatever soil its planted on, instantly changing its properties to better suit the further life cycles of its exsistance. It should be noted that several tests were conducted with a subject in order to understand the nature of the entity.
Examples:
SCP was planted in soft wet soil commonly found in residential areas, this was changed to have traces of bovine excrement
SCP was planted in dry Soil typically found on a dried up lake-bed, this was changed to have traces of Avian excrement
SCP was planted in bovine excrement, this was suddenly and quickly changed to Human excrement, perhaps the similarities of mammal DNA vastly change the environment to which the entity prefers its growth.
It is not yet understood, given the lack of research done with this object, why it changes the soil at all, seeing a lot of seeds grow in different environments. The second stage in its life, is the formation of several large growths of leaves, these leaves are often referred to as the youthful stage, ( quickly dubbed by Dr Bright ) where in no actual anomalies are present. However should a human or mammal be in either direct contact or visible line of sight or touch it, they will instantly experience a sort of mind control, claiming they wish to touch or get near the entity. If any living organisms get closer to the object, the effect grows stronger, causing them to get violent if anyone gets in their way. Once a viable human is in the direct vicinity of the Youthful entity. They are subsequently eaten by the large growth of Soil, seemingly increased than what was originally placed in the cell, on the ground housing the plant.
It is not quite understood or known where the individual goes, as the soil has been measured at a fingers length deep. Nevertheless, the individual, is released from its mind control often screaming or begging for help, as its legs are the first to be consumed, the loud noises of crunching and bones snapping are the enough to send inexperienced researchers mad, looking for amnestics. these are often denied and any researchers are terminated. The individual is consumed, slowly but surely. Eventually all that is left is the subsequent clothing of the personnel. Once first blood has been drawn it is then noted the object changes again. Possibly yet another form in its lifecycle. Dr Bright has noted on several occasions that the SCP be moved to the Botanist Wing of the SCP Foundation, these requests have been denied as there are many SCP's currently housed there that could be of use to the later stages of the entities life cycle, objects that could prove hazardous, for now the SCP must remain in a standard cell for testing or housed in a small bio-gel laced container.
The leaves grow larger and more distinct, often having stripes of purple or pink down a few leaves. The soil noticeably changes again, this time no matter what amount of soil was created in its youthful stage, decreases to roughly 70 percent, only forming a small pile where the plant is rooted. It is then noted that the item is indeed Rooted through whatever material was placed in the cell, even through the strongest steel and metal, then reaching the soft soil below, even tearing its roots through vents and other tight corridors to smell or seek out the soil. Another D Class was introduced into the containment cell, as expected the Individual was mind controlled to get closer, upon getting within arms reach, the plant produced a small red sack containing an unknown liquid, the sack formed from the middle of the plant where the leaves grew. The sack bursts, releasing a rather violent but deadly gas, this gas eating away at the individuals skin, and muscle, before consuming the bones and vital organs. After enough time has passed the subject moves into another faze, this one the most deadly, all the while, it will release spores into the air, creating more of itself, this has been theorised by both Dr Bright and Dr Cyto, the chief researcher in charge of this SCP, that if such a creature was allowed freedom it would most undoubtedly end in the extinction of humanity.
The final stage is perhaps the most intriguing, the entity forms a human form, perhaps from the sheer amount of human biomass it has consumed. It will take the plain form of a male or female, often without the genitalia, with varying degrees of accuracy. it is believed by senior researchers and Dr Bright that this form is the entities intended result. Not many instances have reached this stage, and many are lacking in general intelligence, however below is a audio log from one Instance which was later destroyed either by the entity itself, or by an outside party. Investigation is ongoing. This objects form, proved to be more intelligent and capable of human speech. Dr Cyto enters the room, where the instance is sitting down in the chair, its green skin continuously moving and writhing to keep its shape.
Dr Cyto is wearing a Gas Mask to prevent any spores invading his lungs. He sits down and turns on the recorder.
Dr Cyto : My name is Dr Cyto Can you understand me?
SCP: There is no need to speak to us in such a manner, we are quite capable of Human Speech.
Dr Cyto : Very Well, Do you know where we are? I wish to know more about you.
SCP: We are beyond your comprehension, but we like to think of ourselves as The Green.
Dr Cyto : Im sure I do not know what you mean, what is the Green?
SCP: Im shocked you dont know more about it, you reside on her world. Your species ignorance knows no bounds.
Dr Cyto : Please elaborate.
SCP: Im talking about what you call, Mother Nature. The Plants, the trees, the animals. Its all one and the same.
Dr Cyto : Ah i see, Why are you so intent on killing us?
SCP: Killing you? Ah We see, you must be referring to our childish stage. Well like all species, we have our youth, in that youth, we play, we eat and we drink.Its just we have different bodily needs than you.
Dr Cyto : You alone, murdered 20 D-Class Personal before we were even able to speak to one another. Not to mention your constantly releasing spores to make more of yourself, I quite dont understand why we shouldn't just uproot you all and insure you never grow again.
SCP: You know nothing of what you reside on, the Earth as you call it, is a living creature, it breathes, and you Humans destroy Her forests, Plague her oceans, Eat her Animals, and Pump Smog into the sky and you wonder Why? We are the purest form of life on this Planet and we intend to defend her from the Likes of you.
The Recording ends, as Dr Cyto is then consumed by the sheer amount of spores, they manage to break through the Gas mask and invade his lungs, causing his breathing to cease. The Object was returned to containment with little resistance. It was then discovered a hour or so later after the interview that the entity had vanished, in its place was a green slush, which was confirmed to be dead cells. The O5 council has forbidden any other interviews to take place. No research involving other SCPs is approved, except for the possibility of its use against SCP: 682 as a potential weapon.
