Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a large soundproof storage room plated with titanium located in Sector-21 at Site-██. The room is to only contain one entrance, a small trapdoor situated on the roof in the center of the room. A rubber seal is to line the sides of the trapdoor and if any damage to the entrance is observed it must be reported to Site-██'s site director immediately. In case of a breach in the entrance, walls, or seal of the room, Sector-21 is to be locked down immediately. In any case a liquid enters SCP-XXXX containment, the trapdoor is not to be opened until after room has been heated to 100°C for a total of 4 hours, to properly evaporate all liquid, then the trapdoor is to be opened to release the gaseous state of the liquid for a total of 5 minutes and then it is to be closed and sealed once again. In any case, where sound above the level of 40 dB is produced within SCP-XXXX containment room, the room is to be immediately sealed and Sector-21 will go into Operation-Silent. Sector-21 is to be equipped with sound sensors that set off a silent alarm when triggered. The silent alarm is an array of red LED lights that will flash three times and then proceed to stay lit until site administration and security personnel are able to confirm SCP-XXXX is not in the SCP-XXXX-2 form. While sounds below 55 dB do not cause SCP-XXXX to become SCP-XXXX-2, any sound above 40 dB will set off the silent alarm as a precaution
Due to SCP-XXXX ability to erode inorganic compounds, SCP-XXXX containment room is to be set up with seismic sensors, pressure sensors, and degradation sensors to ensure the structural integrity of the room. If significant damages to SCP-XXXX room are reported, a new room is to be built below the current SCP-XXXX containment room and SCP-XXXX is to be dropped through the floor of the original room and through the trapdoor into the new room
No personnel is to enter SCP-XXXX containment room. If any biological life enters SCP-XXXX containment room, the trapdoor is to be shut and sealed behind them. No lifeform is to leave SCP-XXXX containment room post entry besides in Operation-Kentucky. Operation-Kentucky is to be performed every day.
Operation-Kentucky: At 2:00 A.M. every day the trapdoor is to be opened and SCP-XXXX is to be "fed" an alive gallus domesticus (common name: farm chicken) with the door being closed immediately after the release of the chicken. The chicken is to be forcefully muted if it shows a tendency to produce excess sound or to create lots of noise as a precaution to reduce the chance of bringing SCP-XXXX out of its dormant state. In the case of Operation-Kentucky resulting in a failure, Sector-21 is to be locked down until Operation-Kentucky is successfully redone and proper containment procedures are back in check.
Operation-Silent: During Operation-Silent, all Sector-21 staff and administration are to not speak or walk around in any way. Due to site operations still needing to be fulfilled, all Sector-21 staff are to be trained in ASL. All staff in Sector-21 are also required to wear shoes with a felt covering sewn into the soul to reduce the noise output caused by movement. All SCP Items within Sector-21 are required to not create large amounts of sound. If an SCP Item is assigned to Sector-21 and produces noise, contact site administration to request a relocation.
Description: SCP-XXXX is approx 1 cubic meter of fine children sandbox sand weighing approx 1529kg. SCP-XXXX is indistinguishable to regular sand from observation. SCP-XXXX shows no anomalous properties until it brought out of its dormant state. Once out of its dormant state SCP-XXXX becomes an instance of SCP-XXXX-1
SCP-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-1 shows predatorial properties, in which it will move itself towards the nearest organic tissue. Once SCP-XXXX comes in contact with organic tissue of any type it will surround the organic tissue and start a rapid consumption process. Once SCP-XXXX-1 has started the process, it will continue until all of the organic tissue is consumed. SCP-XXXX will return to its dormant state once consumed one whole organism. Causing noise at decibel readings 55 dB or higher, matter in a liquid state coming in contact with SCP-XXXX, and or Operation-Kentucky not being performed within a 30-minute margin of error to 2 AM will cause SCP-XXXX to become SCP-XXXX-2
SCP-XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX-2 can ‘scale’ walls and ceilings as well as moves faster than SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 will digest non-organic materials that prevent it from making it to the nearest organic matter. The longer SCP-XXXX-2 occurs, the more noise that is caused in the vicinity of SCP-XXXX-2, or the more liquid that comes into contact with SCP-XXXX-2 the more sturdy (I don't know what to use here) materials it will be able to digest.SCP-XXXX-2 also gains increased movement and digestive speed. When SCP-XXXX-2 comes in contact with materials that wear down into sand SCP-XXXX-2 will erode the materials and create small granules. These granules will be attributed the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX and will add to the mass of SCP-XXXX. This new mass will be in a state of SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 will only revert to SCP-XXXX once it has had one of the following occur, based on how it was brought into instance SCP-XXXX-2.
Note: Multiple causes of SCP-XXXX-2 may occur at the same time, in such an event SCP-XXXX-2 will require all of the following that corresponds with the cause.
Contact with liquid: All liquid contained within SCP-XXXX is evaporated.
dB higher than 55: Sources of sound are eliminated and the general sound is brought below 10 dB for a time ranging from 2 hours to 48 hours. The time increases based on the highest dB level SCP-XXXX is in the vicinity of.
Failure to consume organic substance within 24 hours: SCP-XXXX is isolated from organic material for a time ranging from 2 hours to 48 hours. The time increases based on the amount of organic material SCP-XXXX consumes during SCP-XXXX-2
Addendum: Should I add any sort of extra information or does the SCP stand well on its own?
