Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is to be stored in a chain-link enclosure within the anomalous objects hangar of Site-64. It’s operational podium, hereby designated SCP-X-A is to be secured in an adjacent locker made accessible only to designated Level-3 personnel for testing.
Description: SCP-X is a large segmented metal cube similar in appearance and functionality to the puzzle toy the Rubik’s Cube, and possessing dimensions of 2.5 m. The object’s exterior is a titanium alloy, with each respective face painted white, yellow, orange, red, green, and blue.
SCP-X-A is an operational podium featuring a rainbow stripe aesthetic. Located in its center is a square receptacle containing a miniaturized facsimile of SCP-X. Anomalous properties manifest when this facsimile is removed. Following this action SCP-X will levitate approximately 70 cm off the ground and illuminate, after which it will forcibly pull the nearest six individuals in the vicinity to each by means resembling magnetic attraction and enforce a starfish position. This phenomenon has shown to have a radius of up to 25 m, and excludes the operator.
Manipulation of the facsimile shows that it acts as a one-to-one analog of SCP-X, with permutation of any row in the former being replicated in the latter. Activation of a row will immediately sever any body part along the line of segmentation, with cuts being clean, bloodless, and painless for involved subjects. Typical severing points include the mid to upper neck along the C5 and C6 vertebrae, the humerus directly above the elbow joint, and the upper femur directly below the hip joint.
Any newly aligned anatomy amongst the subjects will reorient appropriately and fuse. Subjects are subsequently released when the facsimile is returned to the podium. SCP-X will continue to levitate for upwards of 10 minutes before deactivating.

Result: Each subject possesses at least one body part from a neighboring participant, though is unable to control the limb in any capacity. One entity comprised of D-62785’s left arm, D-37586’s left arm and torso, D-56233 right leg, and D-84219’s right leg and right arm was able to ambulate despite possessing no head.
Conclusion: Reconfigured body parts retain nervous system input from their original hosts. Further MRI scans reveal this extends to the circulatory system, with blood flow somehow being rerouted at the point of demarcation.

Result: Participants show extreme physical and psychological distress. Newly fused individuals that attempt locomotion are severely uncoordinated commonly causing injury. Subjects with more than one head will continually assert autonomy over the body.
D-37586 suffered a fatal heart attack during testing, resulting in his respective anatomy becoming inoperable, and greatly exacerbating the mental state of remaining subjects. Surviving D-class were sedated and isolated for further experimentation. Decomposition occurred at a normal rate over a 72-hour period. Necrosis abruptly ceased at points of fusion……..

Result: All D-class participants were successfully reassembled with their original anatomy.
Reversal of SCP-####’s anomalous effects are possible, provided all participants are correctly realigned in subsequent tests. Restored subjects show no indication of physical alteration, though most display symptoms of psychological trauma and somatoparaphrenia1.
SCP-# was recovered on 11/16/1998, in an abandoned storage unit on the outskirts of Seattle, Washington. A handwritten note found with the object has linked it to GoI-233
