Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5976 is to be kept in a Level-3 storage locker at all times. A 20 inch band made of rubber is to be wrapped around SCP-5976 to prevent accidental opening. During testing, subject being tested is to be put on suicide watch immediatley after testing following incident 5976-1a.
Description: SCP-5976 is a 1 x 0.5 x 0.25 foot book with a cover made of worn leather and 419 pages. The books frontside, presumably its cover, has a single title printed in gold lettering:
Arsun Minarir Beganda
This message is yet to be decoded. It is assumed to be a foreign language that humanity is yet to know about.
Upon an individual opening SCP-5976, its atypical properties will manifest. The reader will describe the pages as being a story, even though the pages on camera are visibly blank. The story read varies, but most stories are similar to the interests of the subject.
Addendum: SCP-5976 was recovered in ████, Alabama after a report of suicide by hanging. This was not brought to the Foundation's attention immediately. After the investigation, police found SCP-5976 resting on the floor of the victim's (formally █████ ████) house. This resulted in the deaths of █ police officers. Dr. Niagrins theorizes that the book is a gift from an alien civilization. However, there is no direct evidence of this.
