Special Containment Procedures: Keep SCP-4170 in a 2 meter (6.56 ft) by 2 meter cell. A 2 feet (61 cm) steel rifle rack will hold SCP-4170 at all times. SCP-4170 does not have to be be fed in its current state. The rifle rack will be placed in the back and center of SCP-4170's containment cell. The back wall of the cell will be protected by two layers of steel walls, with a 4 feet wide vacuum in between each wall. A researcher must be keeping watch of SCP-4170 at all times. Failure to do so during an emergency where the SCP has changed time will result in the escape of SCP-4170 and many more anomalies.
SCP-4170 requires no less than four guards on post inside and outside of its cell at all times. No less that two guards may be inside of the cell at any given time. The guards inside the cell will circulate every 6 hours, and guards inside of the cell must be psychologically evaluated to make sure no urges or sudden desires may pressure them to use SCP-4170 for themselves.
If SCP-4170 is ever found outside of its cell, deploy zone researchers around the world to detect any changes in nature or any major robberies or natural disasters. If such events have occurred, focus all researchers and agents outside-of-site to locate SCP-4170. After location, the researcher meant to have watched SCP-4170 during the transformation phase will undo whatever changes have occurred using the anomaly’s paper and the Sharpie that comes with it.
In the occurrence of a containment breach, lockdown SCP-4170’s cell so that only administration with 05 clearance can access the anomaly. Intelligent humanoid SCPs with the capability to write should never be introduced to SCP-4170 directly. Intelligent humanoid SCPs should also never know the existence of SCP-4170 in case of a failure to lock SCP-4170’s cell down.
Description: SCP-4170 was found during a drug raid on a Pablo Escobar guaca located by the FBI in 1995. SCP-4170 was found in a hidden vault underneath a cabin located deep within Nevado del Ruiz in Columbia.
SCP-4170 is a modern U.S. road sign recognized in the Department of Motor Vehicles as a sign, “that signals caution or warning of a signal change or a change of area nature ahead.” SCP-4170 is a rhombic yellow sign made of sheet aluminum with an adhesive plastic coating. The sign reads “ Ahead” with the blank covered by letter sized, blank, white copy paper. The paper is taped on with clear duct tape that can not be written on. Along with the piece of paper, the sign has a Sharpie that hangs off of it on a thin piece of twine that is wrapped around a circular hole with a diameter of 2mm. The hole itself is only 500mm away from the bottom right edge of the sign so the twine is secured by being wrapped across the gap between the hole and the edge of the sign.
SCP-4170 can become a very powerful tool and asset to be used by the Foundation. SCP-4170 must be kept away from the Chaos Insurgency. Anything written on the blank copy paper on SCP-4170 will come true (if it is a wish or demand). If a physical object is requested, SCP-4170 will levitate in air (constantating itself at above 2 feet from the ground all the time) and it will move towards the center of it’s room, where the rifle rack it was resting on will be replaced by whatever physical object was requested.
