Item #: SCP-1918-J

Hazmat_suit_c1918.jpg

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Subject is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment cell, outfitted with sufficient amounts of “em”. It is yet to be determined what “em” is, however, SCP-1918-J will reliably inform researchers when the levels of “em” in the room is sufficient. When levels of “em” are especially high, SCP-1918-J will request its picture be taken by on-hand staff. Failure to do so may result in a site-wide containment breach, bringing about nothing less than the death of every human present in the site at the time of breach. It is currently unknown how SCP-1918-J accomplishes this, as it seems to keep the same pose in all previous incidents throughout the duration of the breach. After SCP-1918-J has successfully eliminated all on-site staff, it has been observed to utter the phrase “you know I had to do it to ‘em”. In previous instances in which the levels of “em” were not deemed sufficient enough to do it to ‘em, nothing of report was observed SCP-1918-J, regardless of whether or not its picture has been taken, has waited for levels of “em” to become sufficient shortly before eliminating all on-site staff. After such incidences, SCP-1918-J has been known to utter the phrase “I didn’t have to do it to ‘em, but I wanted to”.

Description: Subject is a 6’1”, seemingly non-anomalous Caucasian male who came into Foundation containment by unknown means in 1918. Previous attempts to evict subject from Foundation premises have all ended in failure, as SCP-1918-J insists it be contained. Forceful eviction from Foundation sites have been deemed ineffective, as SCP-1918-J is always found within its containment cell shortly after leaving Foundation grounds. All attempts to remove SCP-1918-J’s cell have resulted in the cell spontaneously appearing in other locations on-site, regardless of whether the area was previously occupied by a different entity. Rooms displaced by SCP-1918-J have all reappeared after a period of 3 weeks on an old, verdant street in [DATA EXPUNGED], USA, often resulting in several casualties and the necessary administration of Class B amnestics to all surviving witnesses.

File Log 1918-J-1:
This is complete bullshit and you know it. You can’t just give SCP status to every rando who shows up on Foundation grounds. Get him out of here immediately. -Researcher Fredrick

File Log 1918-J-2:
Subject refuses to breach containment. After failing to properly contain the subject, all previous on-site personnel have been found dead. Further testing is required. -Researcher Thompson

File Log 1918-J-3:
As of //, all attempts to rid site __ of SCP-1918-J have failed, resulting in numerous casualties. Shouldn’t we just let him be? -Dr. Miller

Addendum 1918-J-A1: At this time, it has been decided that SCP-1918-J should be left in containment for the safety of all on-site personnel as well as the citizens of [DATA EXPUNGED], USA. -Head Researcher Chase
