Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX is to be kept in
possesion of SGT██████ ████ █████████ █ ███████████ █████ █████ ██ ███████ ██████████ Item SCP-XXXX Is to be kept in a lock box in Site 62's secure lockers on the Valuable Items Floor. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in Weapons Condition 4 at all times other than during testing. SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will be kept in separate lock boxes respectively but may be stored co-locally in SCP-XXXX's secure locker.

Testing of SCP-XXXX can be authorized by 1 (one) 03 Personnel. Testing of SCP-XXXX in conjunction with SCP-XXXX-2 shall take place only on Site 62 Training Facility's Range 1 and 2. Testing of SCP-XXXX in conjunction with SPC-XXXX-1 is expressly forbidden on grounds of conservation as well as prevention of unknown risk to on-sight personnel. Authorization for a test involving SCP-XXXX-1 can be obtained only by permission of 2 (two) 05 counsel members and under their stipulations.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a custom modified [REDACTED] Single Action Army, SAA, Model P, Peacemaker M1873 6 Shot Revolver. Item is jet black with gold engraving in iconography and various occult symbolism of unknown origin. SCP-XXXX was recovered alongside 3 (three) instances of SCP-XXXX-1, and 3 (three) instances of SCP-XXXX-2. Each instance of SCP-XXXX-1 appear to be .45 Colt live ammunition comprised of:

• 1 (one) lead slug with etchings of a pentagram on striking face
• 1 (one) Brass casing decorated in a similar manor to SCP-XXXX
• Approximately 230 Grains of gunpowder. (Unconfirmed due to inability to verify; however, item is of proper weight and size to conclude as much)

Each instance of SCP-XXXX-2 appear to the spent casings of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 have anomalous abilities allowing them to preform functionally the same as .45 Colt live ammunition. The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX-1 are as of yet unknown due to their exclusion from testing in order to conserve the possibly invaluable ammunition.

Test have shown when loaded with at least 1 (one) instance of SCP-XXXX-2 the cylinder will turn in such a way as to always land on the loaded casing regardless of its position in the cylinder, as if SCP-XXXX seeks out the loaded casing of its own accord. Sentience has not yet been confirmed. The cylinder will then land on an empty slot on subsequent trigger pulls seeming to lose anomalous properties. When loaded with 2 or more instances of SCP-XXXX-2 the cylinder will alternate between each when the trigger is pulled multiple times, as a result when loaded in this manor SCP-XXXX has a functionally endless supply of ammunition. Experiment #: 0001 Subject:Dr. Gregorio Starting Conditions: SCP-XXXX-2 inserted to the left of firing position of SCP-XXXX cylinder. Result: Trigger is pulled. Cylinder rotates clockwise one-sixth turn until SCP-XXXX-2 is in firing position. Unknown projectile impacts on target in center. No Projectile recovered. Trigger is pulled a second and third time with no result. Experiment #0001 Conclusion: Seemingly spent rounds fire unknown projectile - Experiment #: 0004 Subject:Dr. Gregorio Starting Conditions: SCP-XXXX-2 inserted bottom slot directly below firing position of SCP-XXXX cylinder. Result: Trigger is pulled. Cylinder rotates clockwise one-half turn until SCP-XXXX-2 is in firing position. Unknown projectile impacts on target in center. No Projectile recovered. Trigger is pulled a second and third time with no result. Experiment #0004 Conclusion: Increased cylinder rotation distance does not decrease rate of fire. - Experiment #: 0009 Subject:Dr. Gregorio Starting Conditions: SCP-XXXX-2 inserted to the right of firing position of SCP-XXXX cylinder. Result: Trigger is pulled. Cylinder rotates counter-clockwise one-sixth turn until SCP-XXXX-2 is in firing position. Unknown projectile impacts on target in center. No Projectile recovered. Trigger is pulled a second and third time with no result. Experiment #0009 Conclusion: Cylinder capable of reversing rotation when optimal. - Experiment #: 0011 Subject:Dr. Gregorio Starting Conditions: 2 (two) instances of SCP-XXXX-2 inserted to the left of firing position of SCP-XXXX cylinder. Result: Trigger is pulled. Cylinder rotates clockwise one-sixth turn until SCP-XXXX-2 is in firing position. Unknown projectile impacts on target in center. Trigger is pulled a second time. Cylinder rotates clockwise one-sixth turn until SCP-XXXX-2 is in firing position. Unknown projectile impacts on target in center. Trigger is pulled a third time. Cylinder rotates counter-clockwise one-sixth turn until SCP-XXXX-2 is in firing position. Unknown projectile impacts on target in center. Same result is received from 14 additional trigger pulls.No Projectiles recovered. Experiment #0011 Conclusion: Inserting 2 (two) instances of SCP-XXX-2 result in effective unlimited ammunition. - Experiment #: 0014 Subject:Dr. Gregorio Starting Conditions: Standard .45 Colt ammunition inserted into SCP-XXXX cylinder. Result: Ammunition ejected from cylinder. Standard .45 Colt ammunition re-inserted held in and cylinder forcibly closed. Subject Unable to move round in cylinder to firing position. Trigger unable to be moved. Cylinder opens spontaneously once released from grasp and round ejected from cylinder. Ammunition unable to be reinserted due to cylinder refusing to reopen. Experiment #0014 Conclusion: Weapon is sentient.

SCP-XXXX seems unable to accept any other form of ammunition, violently rejecting and ejecting rounds and refusing to enter into Weapons Condition 1 if cylinder is forced closed with said ammunition installed, to including traditional .45 Colt ammunition, the exact type SCP-XXXX-1 seems to be based on. Similarly the anomalous properties do not manifest in SCP-XXXX-2 when placed in any other weapon. Test subjects have also reported improved aim and general proficiency while wielding SCP-XXXX

+ **Addendum XXXX-02:**Discovery

SCP-XXXX was found during the failed recovery of SCP-██████ in ██████ Connecticut, on 2015/██/██. SCP-██████ was tracked to a farm house in the area via GPS Tracking Device when the signal was lost. Mobile Task Force Apollo-3 “Game Wardens” were deployed on location for recon. AP-3 Houston found SCP-XXXX on sight in the hands of an unidentified deceased male, approximately 93 (Ninety-Three) years of age, cause of death appeared to be at the hands of SCP-██████.A note was found in the mans pocket reading "1 for me, one for you, one for the beast, one for his brood." In almost uninteligible handwriting at the bottom of the note read, "2 more for God." AP-3 Houston fired the handgun twice before declaring it anomalous and retrieving it for containment. During investigation of AP-3 Houston, his response to inquiry as to why he fired the handgun was "I know that model, it was off" when questioned further he stated that there appeared to be no mechanism to turn the cylinder and in order to investigate which direction it would turn when fired he positioned two spent casings on either side if the firing position as to not fire the weapon during the test. The weapon fired during this test resulting in a bullet hole in the floor consistent with a .45 Colt. No slug was retrieved. Curious as to what cause this he then removed all live rounds from the weapon and left one spent casing inside. The handgun fired a second time during this test resulting in the same type of damage to the floor. AP-3 Houston then declared the item anomalous bringing it back for containment.

Result: Commendation [BEGIN LOG] Dr. ██████:Let the record show this is the interrogation of LCpl Houston for his actions during the failed [INAUDIBLE] retrieval. This interview is to determine the level of punitive action, if any, that is to be taken against you. Do you understand? AP-3 Houston:Yes. Dr. ██████:Good. Now, why did you endanger the lives of your teammates during this operation? AP-3 Houston:You gotta understand, I'm serious about that gun, I know how to handle weapons. It shouldn't have fired… Dr. ██████:Except it did fire. What possessed you to tamper with an unknown object in the field in spite of protocol? AP-3 Houston:Look my old man had one of those, its a Colt .45, ██████ gun! I've grown up shooting one. I know that model, it was off. Dr. ██████:So you perceived the item to be irregular and decided to fire it at a teammate? AP-3 Houston:NO! You're putting words in my mouth, the gun was messed up, there was no gear to turn the cylinder. I couldn't figure out how the cylinder was supposed to turn like that. I woulda thought it was a toy if it wasn't for the heft and live rounds. So saw there were spent rounds and made sure the hammer would fall on one of them regardless which way it turned, but the dammed thing fired! I wasn't aiming at it Ross! Didn't hit him anyway. Dr. ██████:And this is why you believe the item to be anomalous? AP-3 Houston:Its a damn Skip. Plane and simple… well as simple as a Skip can be anyway. Dr. ██████:Back to the event in question, you fired a second time. Explain your reasoning behind that. AP-3 Houston:Well it was possible i was mistaken about how i had the rounds in. I took 'em all out except one of the spent brass. There's no way that gun could fire without a live round in it unless it really was a skip. Dr. ██████:So the record is clear. Your are stating that the weapon fired with no live ammunition inside it. Is this correct? AP-3 Houston:Exactly! and its a good thing I did, the Captian wouldn't have let me just bring back a cool gun I found, I proved it was an anomaly and now another item can be contained. + **Addendum XXXX-04:**Inadequate Containment Procedure

Originally SCP-XXXX had been entrusted to SGT ██████, however after being exposed to the item for █ (███) months and ██ (████████) days the task-force member exhibited concerning behavior. Subject had adopted a southern accent described as "inaccurate" and had picked up the habit of chewing tobacco. The subject also would refer to himself in the third person and mistake most normal interactions as aggression against him. Under this assumption he would often challenge individuals to an old west style duel and berate his opponent, calling them "yellow" as all individuals ultimately refused to participate. After SGT ██████'s team members brought his actions to staff attention SCP-XXXX was confiscated and secured. Psychoanalysis discovered no long term effects to the individuals mental health and personality. SGT ██████ returned to duty after a short suspension.
