Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in a cell that is 3 meters long and 3 meters high. The walls must be composed of an alloy of iron and platinum and should be resistant to heavy blasts. There must be at least 2 fire extinguishers in the event of a chemical overload. The cell must be checked for any sort of disturbance 3 times per week. Only personnel with level 5 access may enter. Entry is only permitted with protection against chemical blasts and multiple variations of radiation being worn. A gate 10 meters high must be provided and should be made entirely from Tungsten. This gate must be activated remotely from a viewing area. If these requirements are not met, serious repercussions will be put in place. Failure to provide these conditions may also end in injury or death from SCP-XXXX or any other entities within.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a rusty marble bathtub. Object's dimensions seem to be around 2.3m x 2.7m. The marble is overly thick for an average bathtub, approximately 8 cm, and two rusty handles seem to have merged with the bath partially. At first glance, the object seemed harmless. However, research has shown that the object can be chemically unstable. At seemingly random moments the plug may unplug itself, how exactly research has not shown, and spew an unidentified gelatinous cyan liquid that ignites any surface it comes into contact with except the entity itself. The frame seems to be abnormally thick, (10 cm). The principal shade of color existing within the object is a darkened white. Usually, the entity is stable, while it can suddenly become unstable at any moment. When the entity is touched without protection, the toucher will immediately experience a burning pain as the limb involved will start turning to ash. It is unknown how this occurs. The bathtub seems to release a low buzzing sound. It is thought the sound is released due to a large amount of chemicals within. A toucher will also be turned to ash if SCP-XXXX-A's handle is touched.
The entity also seems to have the ability to move at extreme speeds every hour for ten minutes.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a pocket dimension in which any object or entity which touches the bottom of SCP-XXXX will enter. This process seems to be slow as, if an organism is being transported, the organism being put through will fall into an unconscious state for half an hour. After half an hour, the organism/object within SCP-XXXX seems to disappear. However, when an inanimate object is placed within it will disappear within a time frame of three minutes, indicating that organisms are harder to transport. The entirety of SCP-XXXX-1 is cyan and contains anomalous entities that appear to be over-sized bacteria. An odd buzzing noise, similar to the one released by SCP-XXXX has been heard emanating from the pocket dimension, as reported by personnel and class disposables who have survived undergone the ordeal. When obtained, SCP-XXXX was open with a [REDACTED] in close proximity. Researchers believe that [REDACTED] exists withing SCP-XXXX and has the ability to [DATA EXPUNGED]. In containment, the entity has not yet been able to draw out [REDACTED], and, as of yet, no further information has been found about it. However, as SCP-XXXX only becomes unstable at random moments, unfortunately, complications have risen within research and experiments.

There have been multiple incidents where SCP-XXXX has left personnel and class D in critical condition, incinerating human skin and bones due to the aggressive effects of chemical overload. It seems that the only way to survive this fatal condition is to amputate the body part inflicted with the chemical attack, as not to allow the condition to spread to the rest of the human body. Thirty deaths have occurred as of yet. Minor injuries are, in contrast to the more fatal injuries the object can cause, include broken bones, deep gashes, and near-fatal blood loss. One of the most serious of these incidents resulted in nothing but ash being left. For one incident see addendum 1A.

The hazardous effects of SCP-XXXX were revealed when testing with goats. A month after extraction on ██:██:19██ at 1█:██:05 subject 2035 was sent into the cell. After 5 minutes SCP-XXXX underwent a chemical overload and began exerting cyan fluids. During this event, subject 2035 was terminated via SCP-XXXX and reduced to ash. SCP-XXXX continued to exert fluid for 20 minutes until the fluid seemed to dry up at an accelerated rate and the plug blocked anything from coming out.

The entity was found inside apartment █A when multiple residents of the building reported a buzzing sound and an odd smell. The residents of the apartment were absent, leaving an MTF squad to contain the entity without disruption. SCP-XXXX was undergoing a chemical overload at the time so the foundation asked agent ████ and agent ██████ to escort residents of the building out under the cover that a fire was spreading within the building. Shortly after, the floor beneath apartment █A collapsed and other floors soon followed. The exact geographical location of extraction was [REDACTED], London with the coordinates ██,██ . The rift was thought to go unnoticed. However, it is thought an individual lost a leg from direct contact with SCP-XXXX. Due to this, the foundation has set up therapy under a shell company convincing the individual, who was later named as Alex, that SCP-XXXX being the cause of the accident was a figment of the bystander's imagination, due to hallucinations caused by the fire. Research has shown that the rift is home to many different organisms. Quarantine of the area was successful. A team of researchers has been assigned including Dr.Drakof, Dr.████████ , and ██████, among others, to research this anomaly. SCP-XXXX caused a massive energy displacement and the foundation sent in a cleanup team alongside a member of the science department to investigate. Bystanders have had this event wiped from their memory via amnestics. Once more is learned about the entity, the foundation plans on possibly creating an interdimensional safehouse.

UPDATE: INFORMATION IS CLASSIFIED. [REDACTED] HAS BEEN FOUND INSIDE [REDACTED] INFORMATION AWAITING DECLASSIFICATION.

Due to a [REDACTED] which triggered a set of events aptly nicknamed the bathtub occurrence. This caused Alex to encounter the entity once again and attempt to reveal the truth to the public. By the time the foundation had arrived on the scene he had disappeared, seemingly running away from the foundation. The foundation sent an MTF team to recover him and were able to contain him and interview Alex. This may be found under addendum 2a. Between this time, the foundation defended against the public and the press. One of the reasons for this was that Alex encountered the entity in an alley at approximately ██:██:██ and witnessed an incident resulting in a bystander being terminated. Due to the disappearance of a bystander, many tried to use this as proof the foundation was covering the event up. During an announcement, civilians attempted to use stones as a projectile. This started a riot and the foundation was forced to use non-lethal weapons to quell the riot. Five other riots followed with some bystanders using class 1 weapons such as pistols, rifles, and shotguns. However, due to legal interference, the foundation was unauthorized to use lethal weapons. Seven personnel were left with minor injuries and three deaths were recorded. Because of the outrage directed toward the foundation, the foundation used amnestics to remove any memory of Alex from his family's brain. Four major injuries occurred with the injuries being gunshot wounds, broken limbs, and a large amount of blood loss. A member of the scientific department attempted to leak information. Due to this, the foundation decided to terminate the member involved and no other leaks were attempted. An event that made matters worse is that entities were coming through SCP-XXXX-1 which included entities that appeared to be giant bacteria. Another entity came through which was [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] started hunting other entities that came through, resulting in carcasses and civilian casualties as well as hundreds of witnesses. [REDACTED] also started to hunt civilians in the vicinity causing the city of ██████ to be devasted by these attacks. However, Alex revealed that he knew how to stop the world-destroying event. An explanation of how lead an MTF unit and Alex to a nuclear reactor where he was able to throw the entity into the reactor, therefore, allegedly, destroying it. Shortly afterward, the foundation was able to get him to publicly announce he was seeking attention before dying from radiation poisoning the next day.

Alex Smith: What exactly did I do?

Dr. Yamoto: You know fully well what you did. I repeat myself, why did you do it?

Alex Smith: Oh you're talking about that fun little speech I made in public.

Dr. Yamoto: If I were you, I would stop with the humor.

Alex Smith: Well, I did it as…

Dr. Yamoto: Yes?

Alex Smith: The fact that you are lying to the world and just letting people die is
honestly disgusting.
Dr. Yamoto: Well your publicity stunt ended in incidents involving our own
personnel so your actions are not exactly justified.

Alex Smith: My actions don't need to be justified. That little experiment of yours
make me lose a limb as a child if you could recall?

Dr.Yamato: Firstly, this anomaly did not originate within the foundation. Secondly,
there are other things out there which are one hundred times worse. We are not lying to
the public. We are protecting the public. If the public knew what existed in their home
there would be nothing but chaos!

Alex Smith: Well, I saw your little anomaly kill somebody, so maybe chaos has
already broken out. All I did was reveal it to the public

Dr. Yamoto: Actually, what you did was an attempt to reveal classified information
to the public.

Alex Smith: The thing is…

Dr. Yamoto: Yes?

Alex Smith: I think i know how to stop this thing.

Dr. Yamoto: And how do you exactly know how to stop it?

Alex Smith: I had a little experience with it as a child remember? It revealed its
weakness to me during that period of time.

Dr. Yamoto: So you are suggesting-

Alex Smith: Yep. I know how to destroy this thing. Your welcome.

Dr. Yamoto: Even if you do know how, I would prefer it if you don't destroy it.

Alex Smith: No way.
