Special Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX-1 is to be held in a maximum security anomalous containment cell in site XX. SCP XXXX-1 is not to be allowed within 1 km of the state of Pennsylvania, and is forbidden to ever be hung on SCP XXXX-2. Researchers below level 4 clearance are not to be allowed within 3 meters of the holding cell. Guards are to take shifts, with no one guard being within 3 meters of SCP XXXX for more than 6 hours. In addition to this, all researchers who have belonged to, or do belong to the Amish or Mennonite faiths are not to be allowed within a 1 km radius of Site XX, no matter the clearance level. If any staff attempt to get within 1 meter of SCP XXXX-1 without proper clearance from the 05 council are to be detained and given a full psyche evaluation by an on site therapist. If they should attempt to get within 1 meter of SCP XXXX-1 again, they will be severely punished, and, if their mind is found to have been altered by SCP XXXX-1, they are to be reclassified as an SCP XXXX-3 instance and contained in site XX, along with the other SCP XXXX-3 instances.
SCP XXXX-2 is to be heavily guarded, with a perimeter fence, armed guards, and an exterior facility preventing any direct viewing of SCP XXXX-2. media outlets are to be informed it’s a prison, and 100 – 150 D class are to pose as prisoners for life. A full media blackout regarding the events of 3/12/190X (See Incident Report SCP XXXX-A) is in place, which circulates a heavily altered version of the event as mere local myth, a legend, to explain the use of Barn Stars. If SCP XXXX-1 is ever allowed to be hung on SCP XXXX-2 a full breach of secrecy is almost certain, and the Broken Masquerade protocol put in place.
Description: [SCP XXXX-1 appears to be a non anomalous “Hex sign”, commonly known as a Barn Star, a common fixture in rural Pennsylvania, usually affixed to Barns used by The Amish, and in some cases, The Mennonite. SCP XXXX-1 is 1 meter across and is made of an unknown metal, with a black appearance, whether the black appearance is a result of paint or the natural color of the alloy is unknown, since SCP XXXX -1 seems to be impossible to damage in any way. When SCP XXXX-1 is within a 1 km radius of an individual belonging, or having belonged to The Amish or Mennonite faiths it compels them to search it out, however the affect is somewhat diminished among those belonging to the Mennonite faiths. This compulsion can be ignored, it is, however very hard to resist it. Any person, no matter their religion, will feel similar compulsions within 1 meter of SCP XXXX -1, which they will justify with phrases such as “It just feels right”, “The barn must be protected”, and “I’m just curious”. Upon obtaining SCP XXXX-1 an individual will take the fastest route to SCP XXXX-2, even if they have no knowledge of the areas they must pass through, how then, they suddenly know the fastest way to SCP XXXX-2 is unknown.
SCP XXXX -2 appears to be a non anomalous Red Barn, located in XXXXXXXXX Pennsylvania. However, it has two anomalous properties, with the first being that it is immune to all damage, and that when reunited with SCP XXXX-1 it begins manifesting intensely hostile creatures henceforth known as SCP XXXX -4, of varying appearance, (see Addendum SCP XXXX -4). The one defining trait of SCP XXXX -4 is that they all have the ability to cause intense fear and emotional breakdowns in any humans who view them, which appears to be an anomalous influence, but its hard to tell, as the appearance of most SCP XXXX -4 instances are generally disturbing, making containment of individual instances difficult. SCP XXXX -4 are very resilient, and were previously thought to be nearly immortal, with only some SCP’s such as SCP XXX, SCP XXX, SCP XXX, and SCP XXX, along with most SCP’s that can destroy matter, corrode biological flesh, or destroy things by otherwise anomalous means, as for non-anomalous means, explosives containing a yield of at least a ton of TNT, or 4.184 Gigajoules will suffice, however some may require even more kinetic force to destroy.]
