Special Containment Procedures: A media-based misinformation campaign is being undertaken to suppress knowledge of the original incident1. Description: SCP-4736 is a shipwreck in the Gulf of Mexico off the Coast of █████████,███████ in the United States. The wreck is a 1527 Spanish Galien, approximately 493 years old. The anomalous properties are not apparent until a human swims within a 5 feet perimeter of the shipwreck, once this has happened the subject will undergo slight but noticeable changes will happen to the subject, Changes include, changes in the dominant hand, hair color, eye color, preferences, and personality. Subjects that undergo said transformation are now referred to as an instances SCP-4736-2. Instances SCP-4736-2 also Show an unfailing fascination with SCP-4736 and will attempt to convince any non anomalous humans2 to take a dive to see the wreck, if a Subject denies the offer the Instance will start becoming increasingly agitated, if the Instance gets its offer denied for more than 10 times, the Instance will become hostile, attempting to drag the Subject into the water, Subjects dragged into the water return to the surface as Instances of SCP-4736-2. ' Instances of SCP-4736-2 have the same durability as a non-anomalous human, instead of normal human blood, Instances will bleed a thick, purple substance. Instances of SCP-4736-2 are no longer considered human and are considered expendable.
Addendum SCP-4736-1: the inciting incident happened on Thursday, September 19, 2019, off the coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. The incident involved five people going to dive an Uncharted shipwreck3 .three of the five individuals were transformed into instances of SCP-4736-2 and were killed by the other two individuals. The Foundation immediately investigated the wreck and the yacht that the incident took place on.
