Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4252 is contained within a 20m x 20m fenced in section of █████ Forest, Oregon. 1.5m high reinforced electric fence is propped up around the designated containment spot, to prevent any animals/humans from entering, and to prevent SCP-4252 from breaching. The electrical fence is replaced with normal steel fencing on the river running through the containment zone. There is a keycard activated door on the northern fence, to allow authorized personnel in for testing/observing of SCP-4252. Iron spikes are also driven into the ground below the fence, to stop SCP-4252 from digging under if possible.
Personnel entering the containment zone for testing/observing must have level 3 clearance or higher, and a high powered radio to give information back to operatives at Site-██. If wildlife besides North American beavers are spotted in the containment zone, they are to be left inside the containment zone, as there is no current way to tell if a creature has been affected by SCP-4252, unless they are physically hysterical or act unusual. When directly observing SCP-4252, personnel are directed to avoid eye contact, and view from a distance. Personnel who have made eye contact with SCP-4252 are to be left in the containment zone, or placed in quarantine if length of eye contact was less than [REDACTED] seconds.
Description: SCP-4252 is a North American beaver, weighing 17.6kg, and measuring 0.9m from tail to mouth. SCP-4252 has dark brown fur, and a blackish-brown tail. SCP-4252 is seemingly no different from normal North American beavers, as it spends most time in containment eating inner bark of trees, aquatic grasses, shrubs, etc, and building dams along the river that flows through its containment zone.
When any creature besides North American beavers (Humans and other species of beaver included) and plants enter the containment zone, SCP-4252 will typically attempt to "effect" them. although SCP-4252 won’t always make an attempt, and SCP-4252 will simply continue doing what it usually does, and let itself be viewed. SCP-4252 is capable of directly interfering with the mind of humans or animals (besides North American beavers) when eye contact is made. Interference can range from simply confusing subjects, to causing complete mental breakdown, depending on how long eye contact was retained with SCP-4252.
Subjects who were interfered with are designated SCP-4252-2, and SCP-4252 will typically keep them in one of the dams it has created. It is unknown why SCP-4252 does this with victims, but SCP-4252 appears not to harm SCP-4252-2s, and lets them roam the containment zone or stay in one of the dams. Once SCP-4252 interferes with the mind of its victim, said victim seems not to heal, and will mentally deteriorate over time. SCP-4252 does not seem to show grief when an SCP-4252-2 dies due to lack of proper nourishment/mental deterioration.

Special Containment Procedures: A fake work site was built on top of SCP-XXXX to cover it up and hide its existence from the public on ██/██/19██. A simple chain link fence surrounds the decoy site, 6 meters out from SCP-XXXX. Personnel require level 3 clearance or higher to enter the containment site.
Any and all personnel entering the site for observing, testing, etc, are required to wear ██ brand disposable protective suits, which shield against the liquid and hazardous particles found within SCP-XXXX. Suits are to be thrown away after observing/testing is completed.
Vehicles are not to enter SCP-XXXX, no exceptions. Observations of SCP-XXXX's effects on vehicles show that all objects capable of holding items and have at least 1 wheel are effected by SCP-XXXX. Being caught attempting to move vehicles of any sort into SCP-XXXX is cause for immediate demotion.
If an instance of SCP-XXXX-A is seen moving, the incident is to be written down in the incidents log, designated SCP-XXXX-IN(Incident number), and immediately reported to site director. The emergency lockdown doors on both entrances of SCP-XXXX are to be closed, locked, and sealed. Carbon dioxide is to then be pumped into SCP-XXXX through the pipe on the western entrance of SCP-XXXX.
