Special Containment Procedures: —Knowledge of SCP-XXXX is to be restricted to level 2 personnel. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a secure item locker at site-76. — Knowledge of SCP-XXXX is to be restricted to level 3 personnel and higher. Research on SCP-XXXX must be approved a level 4 Researcher. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 2” thick steel box measuring 15x15x3m, inside of a containment cell no less than 20x20x7m containment cell. A high security door must be outfitted to the entrance of the containment cell and the entrance to the steel box. SCP-XXXX is to be guarded by four armed level 3 security personnel at all times. Security personnel are to carry 16 AA batteries(new in box), a 14 day food and water supply and firearms and ammunition at the discretion of security personnel. The door to the containment cell of SCP-XXXX, the inner door on the steel box, and the sides of the steel box must be outfitted with copious amounts of thermite explosives which must have a high enough yield to cause significant damage to the doors and sides of the steel box, rendering them beyond repair. The explosives are to be on a remote timed detonation sequence of 20 seconds after activation. Upon a security breach, security personnel are to insert a new AA battery into SCP-XXXX, affix bags of supplies to their person, trigger detonation sequence and enter SCP-XXXX’s portal, closing it behind them. Security personnel are then instructed to remain in the broken dimension for 24 hour intervals checking the status of the facility between battery changes.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small white remote labeled “The Broken Dimension”. It runs on 1 AA battery, which will sustain the use of SCP-XXXX for approximately 24 hours. There is a single button that when pressed opens a portal to “The Broken Dimension”. Upon an individual traveling through the broken dimension, they will appear in what appears to be the location in which they entered but the surroundings that were in good conditions will be in various states of disrepair and surroundings that were considered broken appeared to be like new. this appears to only affect plant matter, and other nonliving matter. See incident report SCP-XXXX-1. The broken dimension affects plant matter, nonliving matter and human and animal matter that have died within the past 24 hours. Humans and animals that are retrieved from the broken dimension will be located at their death location regardless of the location of their remains. Recovery of human and animal subjects beyond 24 hours of death has not been proved possible.
Despite the buildings in the broken dimension being in various states on disrepair, they have been shown to be structurally sound despite the absence of load bearing walls that would regularly cause the building to collapse. Additionally as of yet, no floors in the broken dimension have been shown to be damaged to the point of losing its ability to be a floor structural integrity.
The primary use of SCP-XXXX appears to be the recovery of broken objects and beings with the former being able to be recovered any time after breaking.

Acquisition: while investigating a lead to Anderson Robotics , agent [DATA EXPUNGED] broke a standard issue radio. Agent [DATA EXPUNGED] found a repair shop claiming to be able to repair any small appliance or electronic in 5 minutes or less. Agent[DATA EXPUNGED] was skeptical, but the store made good on its promise despite the radio being composed of non standard parts. Upon further investigation, SCP-XXXX was discovered and acquired by the service technician. Upon interviewing the service technician, he could not explain where he acquired the device or how he knew how to use it. The technician was given class (?) amnestics.

8:49 PM: 16 Chaos Insurgency operatives breach site-76, terminating 3 on site security personnel without raising alarm.

8:50 PM: Chaos Insurgency operatives split into teams of 4 and begin searching the facility.

8:56 PM: Audio recordings reveal the Chaos Insurgency operatives are looking for "The Remote".³

9:05 PM: During initial testing Chaos Insurgency operatives detonate a breaching charge to the testing chamber containing SCP-XXXX, Dr Nova and Junior Researcher Trinity. Dr Nova and Junior Researcher Trinity are engaged by 4 chaos insurgency operatives. Dr Nova is shot fatally in the chest.

9:06 PM: Junior Researcher Trinity enters the broken dimension and closes the portal behind her.

** Appox. 9:07 pm:** Junior Researcher Trinity finds Dr Nova alive and unharmed.
Note: Dr Nova's was missing all personal affects and her closes were in tatters save for her lab coat and undershirt, which were in pristine condition.

9:08 PM Code White is declared by site-76 administration and the facility is locked down.

9:09 PM: AMTF Nu-7 (“Hammer Down”) is dispatched to Site-76

9:15 PM: Chaos Insurgency operatives attempt to retreat from the facility unsuccessfully.

9:18 PM: Chaos Insurgency operatives attempt to breach containment of various Euclid and Keter SCP's and kill 4 site security and 8 research personnel. are successful in breaching the containment of 4 SCP's.⁴

9:24 PM: AMTF Nu-7 (“Hammer Down”) arrives onsite and engages the Chaos Insurgency operatives resulting in ██ foundation casualties

** Appox 24 hours later: ** Junior Researcher Trinity and Dr. Nova are forced to emerge from the broken dimension as SCP-XXXX's battery runs out.

(probably scrapping this one)

After detonating a breaching charge Dr [DATA EXPUNGED] was shot fatally in the chest multiple times. Junior researcher [DATA EXPUNGED] fled into the broken dimension and closed the portal behind her where Junior researcher [DATA EXPUNGED] found Dr [DATA EXPUNGED] alive. Dr [DATA EXPUNGED] was found to be wearing the same clothes at the time of her death, but notably everything but her lab coat and shirt were in tatters and she was missing all of her personal effects were gone (earrings, ID card, personal Cell Phone, etc). Dr [DATA EXPUNGED] was found to have all memories up to and including her death. After a brief dialogue, Junior researcher [DATA EXPUNGED] and Dr [DATA EXPUNGED] locked the security door and agreed to wait in the dimension.
15 minutes after initial breach: code white was declared and the facility was put on lockdown.
41 minutes after initial breach: AMTF Nu-7 (“Hammer Down”) arrives at site-76.
72 minutes after initial breach: AMTF Nu-7 (“Hammer Down”) regains control of the facility.
approximately 24 hours after initial breach. Dr [DATA EXPUNGED] and Junior researcher [DATA EXPUNGED] are automatically sent back to our dimension as SCP-XXXXs battery ran out.
