Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6789 is to be kept in a large dark room with soundproofed, padded walls. Anyone entering must wear shoes with quiet rubber soles unless specified not to during testing. The specimen is carnivorous, so food supplied must be meat.
Description: SCP-6789 is a large, carnivorous, bipedal humanoid, with black fur that fades to dark purple at the bottom of each limb and its torso. Measuring about 2.1 meters tall, it has large, clawed humanlike hands and feet, with legs shorter than that of a human. It has a large head which seems to lack visible eyes, ears, or a nose, only a large mouth. The mouth contains several flat incisors and molars, and humanlike canines. The specimen’s neck rests at a 45 degree angle forward, giving it a slightly hunched appearance.
On its head are two large dark brown appendages similar in appearance to antlers, which seem to serve as its ears and eyes. In darkness, which is its usual setting in its natural habitat of an extremely dense forest, its antlers vibrate rapidly when a sound as loud or louder than a clap is made near it, and SCP-6789 will run toward it, with seemingly no regard to the fact that it may run into something. If light touches the antlers, they will get more “sensitive” depending on how bright the light is, sensitive meaning that the antlers will pick up quieter sounds, until it is in complete sunlight, in which it can detect sounds as quiet as a footstep. Sunlight seems to be its maximum “sensitivity”, as testing with brighter lights did not yield further results.
In June of 20██, SCP-6789 was found roaming around the town of █████, Wyoming, running at nearby cars. Reports to police were quickly intercepted once the Foundation realized that this was a dangerous anomaly. Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 (“Village Idiots”) captured SCP-6789 and transported it to site-██. Further investigation involving discoveries of dark purple hairs around animal carcasses revealed that SCP-6789 came from a densely forested area of ██████ National Park. It is still unknown how it was created.
