SCP- 3782
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The entirety of SCP-3782 is to be kept at all times in locked containment. If any instances of SCP-3782-1 leave SCP-3782 they are to escorted back into SCP-3782 before any testing can begin, otherwise all instances of SCP-3782 are to be noted and allowed to re-enter SCP-3782 at their own leisure. Any and all testing of SCP-3782’s exterior is to be done after all entrances in and out of SCP-3782 have been barred. All testing on SCP-3782’s interior is to be done while accompanied by two or more armed guards. Any testing done on any instance SCP-3782-1 is to be done in one of three connected testing rooms of SCP-3782’s containment chamber. Any and all tests which require any of the listed instructions to be altered in any way are to be first submitted to Dr. █████, SCP-3782’s Project Manager, for approval before proceeding.
Description: SCP-3782 is a log cabin, measuring at 5,390 mm, by 4,190 mm, by 2,880 mm in the front of the cabin and 2,150 mm in the back of the cabin as a result of a downward slant of the roof. SCP-3782 is made up of Oak logs, contains a window on each side excluding the one opposite to the door. The door itself is made up of the same type of wood as the walls. The inside of SCP-3782 lacks any furnishings other than a brick fireplace located in the left corner of the cabin.
Within SCP-3782 exist at all times fifteen to twenty instances of SCP-3782-1. SCP-3782-1 is humanoid figure resembling a human of a random ethnicity, gender, and body type. All instances of SCP-3782-1 lack any facial features and instead simply have a flat layer of skin where their eyes, mouth, and nose would be located. Each Instance of SCP-3782-1 refuses to interact in any way with any other instance of SCP-3782-1, through testing has not made clear if any given instance of SCP-3782-1 actually knows of the existence of the other instances of SCP-3782-1.
If an instance of SCP-3782-1 is interacted with by a person, animal, or object that originates from outside SCP-3782 they will react as though they had properly functioning eyes, ears, and nose.On a few occasions instances of SCP-3782-1 have been noted leaving SCP-3782 for a short period of time before re-entering. All noted instances of SCP-3782-1 have not been immediately hostile and have agreed to be interviewed, and tested upon. SCP-3782 can speak but does so in a muffled voice as though their mouth is somewhere under the skin of their face, testing has discovered no facial features, including mouths, anywhere inside the body of any instance of SCP-3782-1.
Each instance of SCP-3782-1 that has currently been interviewed in any capacity reports as being from some point of American history prior to 1982. All instances of SCP-3782-1 interviewed have willingly given up information about their respective time periods to varying degrees. All information given by all recorded instances of SCP-3782-1 is completely false. All instances of SCP-3782-1 that are corrected, deny being wrong; Noted reactions of instances of SCP-3782-1 that are corrected range from complete silence to violent outbursts, though only one case of violence in this scenario has been reported. Asking any instance of SCP-3782-1 about SCP-3782 or the other instances of SCP-3782-1, present or not in SCP-3782, results in a denial of the existence of either, again testing remains inconclusive as to whether or not these instances of SCP-3782-1 actually know of other instances of SCP-3782-1 or SCP-3782 itself. All testing of SCP-3782-1 have resulted in no supernatural attributes being discovered other than the lack of facial features.
The recorded number of instances of SCP-3782-1 sits at 11,533. Attempts at cataloging all instances of SCP-3782-1 halted after it was confidently hypothesized that there were an infinite number of instances and has yet to be continued. Each and every time all outside persons, objects, and animals have been removed from SCP-3782 for fifteen minutes the instances of SCP-3782-1 inside SCP-3782 change. Certain instances of SCP-3782-1 have been spotted multiple times (Namely SCP-3782-1-11, SCP-3782-1-4,000 and SCP-3782-1-5,670) these instances of SCP-3782-1 recall all previous interviews and interactions with persons, objects, and animals outside of SCP-3782. In all other cases the instances of SCP-3782-1 are completely different every time SCP-3782 is left, after fifteen minutes, vacant of outside disturbances.
All testing of SCP-3782 have come back without any evidence of any part of SCP-3782 being supernatural in any way.

Interviewed: [Nathan █████]
Interviewer: [Doctor, █████]
Foreword: [ Nathan █████ is the civilian who originally discovered SCP-3782 in a large forest within █████, █████. Nathan █████ reported his discovery to █████ and the following interview was conducted twenty four hours before the containment of SCP-3782 after Nathan █████ was brought in for questioning. All mentions of bovemstercore were falsified in order to maintain security of information. ]
<Begin Log>
Doctor: █████: [Good Morning Mr, um, Mr. █████?]
Nathan █████: [Yeah, █████. Nathan █████]
Doctor █████: [Yes, okay. And did you need anything? Coffee, water, anything?]Nathan █████: [No, it's quite alright thank you. I just want to know what the hell is going on.]
Doctor █████: [As do I Mr.█████, do you mind if I ask you a couple questions about what you saw?]Nathan █████: [No sir, ain’t much to tell though that I haven't already told █████ █████.]
Doctor █████: [ I am well aware but this is for the record so if you could just answer my questions we will get you out of here in a reasonable time.]Nathan █████: [O-okay.]
Doctor █████: [Alright, so Mr. █████ could you just go over with me what exactly you found?]
Nathan █████: [Well me and a few of the boys, do you need their names?]
Doctor █████: [I think we have them on record already, ██████ █████. █████ █████, and █████ ██████████ correct?]Nathan █████: [oh, uh yes. So anyhow me and the boys we was going down to one of our usual hunting spots and as we was walking over to it I excused myself to go take a piss and I saw it.]
Doctor █████: [ It being?]Nathan █████: [Well it wasn’t nothing unusual, a log cabin. But I had been to that neck of the woods pretty often and I aint ever seen any log cabins. Besides I don’t think █████ can █████ anyway. So I got to wondering who in the hell had put up a cabin in only a couple of weeks.]
Doctor █████: [You had been back their recently before this time?]Nathan █████: [Yeah bout a week and half or so before, █████ ██████████’s truck had broken down and we was giving him a lift home. And if someone was building a cabin I woulda seen it. ]
Doctor █████: [Your saying this cabin couldn’t have been built in such a short period of time?]Nathan █████: [Naw, my pops has built a couple and I knew how long it takes to build one of em. If it was just a shitty little stack of logs then maybe but this thing had the whole deal. Windows and everything.]
Doctor █████: [So you’ve happened upon this cabin, which you’ve never seen before and seems to be too well built to have been made in the time between the trip in question and the trip before it?]Nathan █████: [Yeah, that's what made me go snoopin around, otherwise I would just called █████ █████ and reported it.]
Doctor █████: [Alright, what happened next?]Nathan █████: [Well as I said I decided to go snoopin around a little bit. Went up to the door and knocked but I didn’t get no response. So I move to window and look inside to see if anyone was home and that's when I seen em.]
Doctor █████: [Them?]Nathan █████: [Yeah, a whole crowd of people just standing around in the cabin, no chairs or nothing in their.]
Doctor █████: [Could you give me an estimate on how many people exactly?]Nathan █████: [don’t know. Fifteen or so i’d guess.]
Doctor █████: [And there was something about this which made you report it to █████ █████ yes? Other than their just being a strange cabin with a group of strange people in it?]Nathan █████: [Yeah, yeah. I was looking in the window thinking what in the hell are these crazy folk doing when one turns so I can their face and, and, uh.]
Doctor █████: [What did you see?]Nathan █████: [Well they ain’t had no face. No eyes, mouth, or nothing. I thought it was a trick of the light or something but as they shuffled around every single one of em, no face! I mean I was sitting there, still as a stone, scared outta my mind thinking what in the hell had I just stumbled upon.]
Doctor █████: [Did at any time you enter this cabin?]Nathan █████: [Not a chance in hell, soon as I managed to break myself away from the window I ran back to my boys and we hightailed it outta there. Then I went straight to █████ █████ and reported it and uh, here I am.]
Doctor █████: [And you didn’t speak to anyone other than ██████ █████. █████ █████, and █████ ██████████ about this correct?]Nathan █████: [No sir, am I in trouble or something?]
Doctor █████: [No Mr. █████, we just like to be thorough with matters such as this.]Nathan █████: [Such as this?]
Doctor █████: [Official matters is what I mean Mr. [REDACTED]. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have sent some people to investigate this cabin and we did find it but it was empty.]Nathan █████: [Empty?]
Doctor █████: [Yes. Our field Officer:████████ Reported nothing inside but what we did find were heavy traces of Bovemstercore.]Nathan █████: [Bove-what?]
Doctor █████: [It's a newly discovered chemical gas, exerted from pockets of natural gases in the ground. Technically its classified information so I would ask that you don’t disclose this to anyone else but it is known to cause hallucinations like the one you described with the uh, faceless people.]Nathan █████: [Huh, I ain’t smell nothing though.]
Doctor █████: [Yes the gas is odorless, and quite rare. The hallucinations caused by it though are incredibly vivid and in an attempt to keep it from being collected and used for nefarious purposes we are attempting to keep it under wraps. Do you understand.]Nathan █████: [Yeah, I wouldn’t want somebody putting that in my head again. Felt real to me.]
Doctor █████: [That is why it is dangerous yes, I am going to ask that you do not return to that part of the forest for a month or so. We will have a police barrier set up well we demolish the cabin and get rid of the gas.]Nathan █████: [And the cabin, how that end up there?]
Doctor █████: [We are looking into it but we do know that its construction is the reason the gas pocket surfaced, which is why you had never experienced any hallucination in the area prior. My best bet was that it was brought in pre-built.]Nathan █████: [Hm, well uh thanks for letting me in on all this, woulda kept me up the rest my life otherwise. I’ll stay outta there and let you guys work. Is that all you guys needed?]
Doctor █████: [Yes, your free to go.]
<End Log>Closing Statement: [Nathan █████ was, following this interview, released to his home and monitored for six months before being declared as low risk and being taken off constant surveillance. Bi-monthly checks to current date have revealed no security threats from Mr. █████]

Interviewer: [Doctor: Charles Antwin, SCP-3782 Head Historical Aid]
Foreword: [The following is the second of the two recorded interviews with SCP-3782-1-5,670. SCP-3782-5,670 appeared between SCP-3782-1 instances SCP-3782-1-9,500 and SCP-3782-1-9,540.]

Doctor: Charles Antwin: [Thank you Mrs. Darell. If it's not too much, would you mind me asking you a few more questions?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: [Of course! Though as I told the late Ms. ██████: I am a simple housewife. If you think I can be of any help though I will do my best.]
Doctor: Charles Antwin: [Thank you, thank… you. Mrs. Darell when exactly was the last time you spoke to Ms. ██████?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: [I’m sorry?]
Doctor: Charles Antwin: [Ms. █████, you, uh, spoke to her yes?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: [Oh, yes I did. As I said she was an absolute peach. A real shame that she had to leave us but as I like to say: She is in gods hands now, for better or worse.]
Doctor: Charles Antwin: [So when did you speak to her, Ms. █████?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: [Your accent is very much confusing me. I apologize Mr… um, I never did get your name good sir.]

Doctor: Charles Antwin: [Six months, Six… six… Did you say six months Mrs. Darell?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: [Yes a year's service is the mandatory. Ever since the great war started you know. I thank the merciless heavens that they have made it so far and I can only pray and grovel in hopes they can come home one day in one piece.]
Doctor: Charles Antwin: [When Ms. █████ spoke to you, you children were still six months away as well, correct Mrs. Darrell?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: [Hmm?]
Doctor: Charles Antwin: [When Ms. █████ came and talked with you. It must not have been very long ago, does that sound right to you Mrs. Darell?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: […]
Doctor: Charles Antwin: [Mrs. Darell?]
SCP-3782-1-5,670: […]
