SCP-XXXX in open state.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX a gate has been erected 12-meters from SCP-XXXX. The gate must remain locked at all times. The keys to the gate and to SCP-XXXX are in the possession of the current Site-88 director. Any room or area within a 10-meter radius from SCP-XXXX is to be permanently cordoned.

Any SCP-XXXX-A instances arriving at Site-88 are to be administered class B amnestics and returned to their homes.

For access to SCP-XXXX please file a written request to the current Site-88 Director.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the office door for office 2754 (former office of Dr. Moore) on the 27th floor of Site-88.

SCP-XXXX has three main anomalous features. The first is a field of unknown energy which causes biological matter to age at an accelerated rate. This effect known as SCP-XXXX-1 has a range of approximately 10-meters in all spatial directions. SCP-XXXX-1 accelerates aging more the closer a subject is to SCP-XXXX. The aging process acceleration ranges from two times earth standard to 1,024 times Earth standard (17 minutes for each second). To calculate the aging multiplier please use the following formula (m - multiplier, d - distance in meters):

(1)
\begin{align} m=\frac{1024}{2^{d}} \end{align}

If SCP-XXXX is opened by a human subject a time-space anomaly is observed. This anomaly known as SCP-XXXX-2 is a corridor carved from granite. The corridor continues straight for approximately three meters before sharply turning to the left. The anomalous features are only observed when opening the door from the hallway. When opening the door from within office 2754 normal access to the hallway is permitted.

If a human subject enters SCP-XXXX-2 the door will immediately close with force. While a human subject is within SCP-XXXX-2, the door is unable to be opened by any means. Between three and nine minutes after the subject has entered the door, the door will swing open and the human subject will exit the anomaly.

Subjects exiting SCP-XXXX-2 are drastically altered both physically and psychologically. The following are the most common post SCP-XXXX-2 traits:

Physical Alterations

  • Nude
  • Lacerations
  • Contusions
  • Burns
  • Calluses on feet and hands
  • Scars over large portions of the body
  • Entire body covered in dirt (samples confirmed to be generic soil)
  • Partial organ removal
  • Full organ removal
  • Crudely amputated extremities (most often fingers or toes but in some cases entire arms or legs)
  • Extreme weight loss
    • No detectable body fat
    • Very little muscle mass
    • Consistent with extreme and prolonged starvation

Psychological Alterations

  • Paranoia
  • Schizophrenia
  • Nuerosis
  • Insomnia

The final anomalous feature, SCP-XXXX-3, is a telepathic beacon. SCP-XXXX-3 does not appear to have any range limit. SCP-XXXX-3 has contacted subjects, known as SCP-XXXX-A, as far away as Bogor, Indonesia. SCP-XXXX-A instances contacted by SCP-XXXX-3 exhibit the following behavior:

Time Period Behavior
0-3 Days post contact Consolidate their financial holdings and transfer ownership to either spouse, relative or acquaintance. Resign any employment or volunteer positions.
4-6 Days post contact Visit relatives and acquaintances to inform them they are going on the "trip they always wanted". At this point, SCP-XXXX-A will inform any necessary individuals of transferred money or property.
7-9 Days post contact SCP-XXXX-A will purchase an airplane ticket for somewhere in the continental United States. After arriving, SCP-XXXX-A will rent a vehicle and invariably drive directly to Site-88.

Upon arriving at Site-88 SCP-XXXX-A will attempt to enter the building from the first entrance they observe. When questioned why they want to enter Site-88, SCP-XXXX-A will respond "I have been called to be reborn." When questioned about who called them SCP-XXXX-A will not be able to answer.

After investigation Foundation researchers discovered all SCP-XXXX-A instances have terminal illnesses. Several SCP-XXXX-A instances were unaware of their illness.
