Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in situ under a premise of the strict nature reserve (IUCN category Ia¹). The perimeter of SCP-XXXX (roughly circle with a radius of 1 km from the SCP-XXXX's epicenter) to be covered with motion detectors and video cameras. 1 km perimeter of SCP-XXXX is to be patrolled by security guards under the guise of nature reserve rangers. Human intruders are to be administered class C amnestics before releasing at safe distance from the perimeter.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the source of an unidentified aura located in the woodland of Romania. When approaching SCP-XXXX sapient sentient life forms autonomous entities² experience an intense psychological discomfort in correlation to their proximity to SCP-XXXX³. At a certain distance an entity will experience an undeniable impulse to leave the area (referred to as "flight impulse") and will act accordingly unless restrained or otherwise incapacitated.

Approximately at the epicenter of SCP-XXXX located mummified remains of a humanoid creature a humanoid creature in the state of suspended animation⁴, designated as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 is displaying signs of severe malnutrition and dehydration. It is currently unknown whether SCP-XXXX-1 is the source of SCP-XXXX anomalous properties, or if it is contained within SCP-XXXX. Effects of SCP-XXXX are shown to be lethal and as such retrieval attempts of SCP-XXXX-1 have been unsuccessful so far.

Source: First noticed by Luftwaffe pilot Hans █████ in the summer of 1944, who joined the Foundation in 1955. On the initial interview, he mentioned remarkable incident happened in a reconnaissance mission. Other pilots in his unit unexpectedly made course correction without any enemy planes or anti-aircraft weapons in sight. While avoiding the collision he noticed unusual vegetation pattern on the ground below in form of almost perfect concentric rings. Foundation aircraft dispatched to the area confirmed the following pattern of vegetation (starting from the perceived center):

Due to anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX, only ██ persons were aware of its existence to some degree at the time of initial containment. Class C amnestics were successfully administered. Upon discovery and initial containment, the landscape was carefully rearranged in order to obscure unnatural vegetation pattern.

Standard testing procedure:
The subject is placed into steel mesh cage, which is installed on a remotely controlled vehicle. A GPS tracker is used to measure the distance of a test subject from SCP-XXXX. Cage is fitted with video- and audio-transmitting equipment.

001-04	D-15851 (Caucasian male, age 35, convicted for serial murders)	At 1200 m subject started crying and pleading to stop the vehicle. At 1100 m subject expired. It seems that the area of effect of SCP-XXXX depends on innate qualities of a subject: aggressive and physically imposing subjects will experience flight impulse at larger distances than docile and harmless ones.

Standard testing procedure:
Center of SCP-XXXX is to be approached by autonomous or remotely controlled drones.

Location: On-site surveillance facility (located approximately 1200m from the center of SCP-XXXX).

Preamble: Remotely controlled drone with video- and audio-transmitting equipment was controlled by on-site researcher Dr. ████████.

Incident: As drone approached 250m distance to the center of SCP-XXXX, Dr. ████████ exclaimed "I can't do it!", and tried to command drone to retreat, but was seemingly unable to do it properly due to stress. As drone accelerated forward past 200m distance, Dr. ████████ collapsed and lost consciousness. The security guard managed to cutoff video feed from drone, so that medical team could access surveillance facility safely. When medical team arrived, Dr. ████████ was pronounced dead.

Preamble: Instance of SCP-2191-1⁶ during "hunting" activity triggered motion sensors.

Incident: As intruder approached on-site surveillance facility, SCP-XXXX-1 cameras registered movement. After approximately 5 seconds, an impulse of unidentified energy originated from the center of SCP-XXXX and caused malfunction of all electronic equipment in 1500m radius. On-site personnel experienced an incapacitating panic attack. SCP-2191-1 stopped as if in hesitation. After a brief pause, intruder quickly withdrew to SCP-2191. Surveillance of SCP-2191 site at that time shown that most if not all active instances of SCP-2191-1 were withdrawn simultaneously.

Addendum: Post ██/███/████ instances of SCP-2191-1 never approached closer than 2500m to the SCP-XXXX center of influence.
