Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: All internet locations are to be monitored for any instance of SCP-XXXX-A. If anyone does access SCP-XXXX-A, a malware is to be uploaded to that device to shut it down. Afterwards, a mobile task force is to be sent to turn on the computer and to close the tab. Afterwards, amnestics are to be administered to everyone who has been a witness to SCP-XXXX-B's experience. If any internet providers learn of SCP-XXXX-A, everyone involved are to be given amnestics.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a website that can be accessed by any device able to access the internet. The URL of the website stays the same per instance, but the appearance differs. Any link clicked takes you to the same page with different links than there were prior, perpetuating the cycle of interest. SCP-XXXX-A cannot be blocked by any means on any internet connection or device.

Anyone who accesses SCP-XXXX-A cannot leave the website or device, turn off the computer, or close the window or tab and will, from then onward, be referred to as SCP-XXXX-B. Only one person may be under the effect of any one instance of SCP-XXXX-A at a time. SCP-XXXX-B does require sustenance in the form of food and water and will eat and drink if it is provided, but no longer requires sleep. If anyone closes the tab or window or shuts the computer off (simply diverting SCP-XXXX-B's attention will not work), SCP-XXXX-B will no longer be under the effect of SCP-XXXX-A and can vaguely recall what they did while under its effect, though they recall spending much less time under its effect. It is unknown whether SCP-XXXX-A affects non-sapient individuals, as personnel cannot access the website without being affected by it themselves.

Side effects of SCP-XXXX-A vary depending on how much time is spent under its effect and the previous mental state of the individual. The most common side effects are hallucinations, seizures, and anxiety. Very rarely has anyone died due to SCP-XXXX-A, and the effects do not appear to be race, gender, or age specific, though older individuals are more likely to die due to their feeble nature.

The first reported instance of SCP-XXXX-A happened on █/██/09 in ██████, Germany. SCP-XXXX-B was a 16 year old female named E█████ who had access to SCP-XXXX-A for 3 days before losing consciousness due to dehydration. After gaining consciousness again, SCP-XXXX-B proceeded to make her way back to the computer and explored more of SCP-XXXX-A. The Foundation sent a mobile task force to shut off the computer and interviewed E█████ (See Addendum).

Addendum:

Interviewed: E█████, hereby simply called "E".

Interviewer: Agent ██████

Foreword: After Incident-XXXX-1, Agent Green talked to E about her experience with SCP-XXXX-A

**<Begin Log>*

Agent ██████: So, E, do you know what you were doing with that website?

E: Not entirely. It was weird. I swear, I just came back to the same page over and over.

Agent ██████: Do you know how long you were on the website for?

E: I don't know, like, a few hours?

Agent ██████: Okay. What was the website about?

E: It was some cancer charity website. I swear I was going to donate, but it never took me to > the page.

Agent Green: What do you mean?

E: I tried to click the donate button, but it never took me to the donate page. It just took me > back to the home page.

Agent ██████: How did you feel after getting off the website?

E: I felt kind of… anxious. Or scared. Like I could've saved someone but I didn't.

Agent ██████: E█████, what if I told you that you spent over three days straight on that > website?

E: What? That's impossible! I swear, I only spent a few hours on it! You're lying! You-

Agent ██████: E█████, calm down. We'll talk later.

<End Log>

Note: E and her family were administered amnestics after interviewing was fully finished.

Experiment Log: On ██/██/12, five (5) D-Class personnel of differing races, sexes, and ages entered five (5) different rooms and were told to access SCP-XXXX-A. Food and water were provided throughout the experiment.

Results: Subject went seven (7) days without incident and was logged out of SCP-XXXX-A. Subject B suffered a heart attack as this happened, and died 10 minutes later.

Note: Individuals 50 years or older are no longer permitted for use when testing SCP-XXXX.

Subject C:
Age 35

Subject D:
Age: 40
Sex: Male
Race: Caucasian
Results: Subject spent 2 months exposed to SCP-XXXX-A before suffering a stroke, after which he was logged out of SCP-XXXX-A. Subject D then entered a comatose state and has not yet recovered.
