Item #: SCP-5342
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: [SCP-5342's containment chamber is to be kept locked at all times with no less than four armed guards outside. In the event of hostile facility incursion, SCP-5342's containment chamber is to be abandoned, and door unlocked. All but one contained instances of SCP-5342 are currently bricked over and rendered inaccessible.]
Description: [SCP-5342 refers to a series of portals, each paired together in sets of two. SCP-5342 transports any objects passing through itself to the paired portal. On rare occasions, velocity is lost when traveling through SCP-5342, and horizontal portals do not allow objects to be retrieved. As of 4/3/18, SCP-5342 no longer grants instant traversal of space and instead always deposits matter into the object's pocket dimension. All human subjects exiting SCP-5342 lose all memory of what transpired inside- similarly, all electronics malfunction for an unknown period of time upon entrance. Said electronics resume normal operation/self-repair after entering the portal, however, only one of these have been recovered.
SCP-5342 was first discovered after a family in [REDACTED] uploaded a YouTube video attempting to show off their "magic trash can." MTF-[REDACTED] successfully passed the video off as a hoax and the family was taken in for questioning, although nothing useful was gleaned from the interview. Family was amnesticized and released.
SCP-5342-A is, by uniform consensus of all employees of Site-42, absolutely not human. SCP-5342-A presumably killed and took the form of Foundation Level 2 researcher William Shot, who entered SCP-5342 for testing purposes and did not return for several hours. SCP-5342-A was immediately detained and questioned upon exiting SCP-5342. See Interview Logs 5342-A-01, 5342-A-02, and 5342-A-03 for more details.

Addendum: [Alright, just gonna get my thoughts out here, write em down so I don't forget.
SCP-5342: Simple, just two portals linking each other. At first, things passed through instantly, slowly that began to get more infrequent, with people taking longer to come out and objects not coming out. People who entered the portal can't remember what happened in there.
5342-A: a researcher who volunteered to go through the portals, see what was there. when coming out, other Foundation staff thinks he's a monster who replaced the original researcher. Ethics committee authorizes torture, interrogations, etc to find out what this "replacement" did to the og researcher. 5342-A ends when they bring in his family- of course, they would know the real guy. They think he's a monster, his children are scared of him, etc. The next day, he kills himself. In reality, 5342-A is a cognitohazard stemming from viewing a corpse of 5342-B
5342-B: 5342-B is a… thing, decide on an appearance later. B's kill people by thinking them to death; viewing, hearing, etc an instance will result in the subject getting "infected", infected individuals can't stop thinking about the stimuli, and it gets worse depending on how much they experienced. At some point, it gets so bad that not even amnestics can save the person, and their brain undergoes some kinda cataonic state, they die, etc. the person gets reduced to a shivering husk, babbling about the things they heard/saw.
Problem with this, though: People going through the portals don't remember what happened, and any recording materials are disabled for a period of time, unknown how long. Due to the foundations tried and true methods of "Shove d-class into it till it works", dozens of cameras and recording materials have went in there, some of them haven't returned. It's at this point the exploration logs come into play.
See No Evil comes into play. 4 members of the team find a camera on the dead d-class just outside of a Site, unsure which. Boot the camera up, link their scrambles to it, and heads into the facility. they were actually deployed to a different anomaly, an 8 man team went into a different spatial anomaly to rescue some scientists. While 4 members and the scientists made it out safely, the other 4 were lost, and ended up… here. They kill some of the creatures, and due to their scrambles they aren't affected by any cognitohazards. They make their way out, no deaths, but all four are wounded by the monsters.
