Object class: Keter

Description:
SCP 7777 is a previously undiscovered element that naturally occurs in the solid state. It was originally believed to be amber when it was first discovered, but further studies show that it has an entirely different chemical compound. It resides in a "dormant" state, in which it appears to be a yellow-orange rock that anomalously produces a south polarity magnetic field with an estimated 15.40 acre range. However, in its "awoken" state, it will absorb any desired organic and nonorganic matter in the range of its magnetic field. It will warp the physical structure of the matter, causing the illusion of it melting. SCP 7777 has been listed as Cxixon (pronounced: siks-än/ôn), due to the roman numeral translation of 119 being CXIX.

Containment Procedures
SCP 7777 is to be held in a 16 square acre brick cell. Although SCP 7777's field reaches everything in a 15.40 acre area the Foundation uses the excess room to put in platforms and gates for observation of SCP 7777. Panels that produce a south polarity electromagnetic field are to be placed on the inside of the cell, due to SCP 7777's anomalous ability to create a southern polarity magnetic field at will. If executed properly, SCP 7777 should appear to be floating in the middle of the containment cell. It is mandatory that at least ONE Foundation researcher is in the cell at all times in the event of Event: Reform 12. Event: Pulse-12, or EP-12, is SCP 7777's main reason for being classified as Keter. The range of SCP 7777's magnetic and absorption field will extend drastically. The range of this pulse has been measured to be 391 square miles (1013 km), and a minimum of only 15.45 acres. SCP 7777 seems to do this randomly, but it appears unable to do it frequently, as the shortest time frame has been 2 months (Exactly 82 days).
