Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Description: SCP-XXXX is a thin 0.125 mm wire composed of 2 main elements. The first is copper, and the second element is a green glow-in-the-dark substance called ████████ which apparently does not have any electrons. The wire has changing length and can be from as less as 2 cm to as long as 50 m.

This wire contracts over time as it continuously releases ███████ radiation. This radiation has a lot of electrons and photons in it, and can be collected to provide infinite energy. If it contracts more than 2.000~~~0001 cm, it will start to convert a lot of the second substance into copper. If all of the copper is consumed, it will be destroyed and will also explode and destroy all nearby atoms with a valency of 4. This includes carbon, so the destruction of the wire will result in destruction of organic matter.

On the split side, when the wire is fed too many electrons, it will convert all the copper into the second element. Since this is a very dangerous process, it has not been tried.

Safety gear: The inner layer of clothing must be a loose silk vest. The second layer must be a lead hazmat suit to protect from gamma rays. Layer 3 is to be made of pure copper with a separating strip of neodymium. This is to make sure that a closed circuit is not formed. The final layer is to be made of layers of graphene.

Special Containment Procedures: All members with level 2 or lower access are not to be allowed to come closer than 5 meters. All guards are not allowed to bring guns near this wire. A 20 by 20 metre chamber is to be built and the wire is to be sealed in a 100% vacuum. As mentioned before, the wire releases ███████ radiation and this radiation is to be collected. The wire's length is to be measured and to be kept between 3.5 to 3.75 metres. If it gets longer, shoot photons on the wire, If it gets shorter, shoot electrons on it

Use: Can be used for:
* High power circuits
* Biological substance destruction
* Lighting
* Weapons

Note: No encounter has been recorded yet, but tests show that this SCP is always to be kept under black light.
