Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to unknown aspects of SCP-XXXX, full containment of SCP-XXXX has been deemed currently impossible by Project-XXXX Lead, Dr. Kelly. Intentional contact with uncontained instances of SCP-XXXX is forbidden without the express permission of Dr. Kelly. All information regarding SCP-XXXX should be immediately shared with Project-XXXX staff at Armed Reliquary Containment Area-02. All Secure Facilities removed from urbanized areas in the general regions of the Americas, Eurasia, and West Africa are to be on alert regarding instances of SCP-XXXX. Misinformation campaigns should also be in effect in these areas in order to limit public interaction with instances of SCP-XXXX.
Instances of SCP-XXXX are to be contained in standard containment cells equipped with high strength knockout gas. Testing on instances of SCP-XXXX should never be attempted while instances are conscious, unless the entity has been properly restrained. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 should be fitted with secure hoods to prevent eyesight. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 should have severe inhibitors placed on their motor functions (severity should vary in regard to the conditions of testing).
Should Foundation personnel come in contact with uncontained instances of SCP-XXXX, be targeted by an SCP-XXXX-1 Event, or be forced to engage with instances of SCP-XXXX, they are advised to retreat to the nearest man-made structure or area of urbanization.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 are sapient cervine entities, displaying highly anomalous effects that include advanced regenerative abilities, extreme physical strength, telepathic interaction, cognitohazardous eye-contact, and apparently instantaneous travel (believed to be at-will travel to some other place, dimension, or reality). Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 appear wary of man-made structures and areas of urbanization, and it is believed that their instantaneous travel is somehow limited by such areas. So far, reported instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have taken on the forms of Alces alces, Cervus canadensis, Rangifer tarandus, and most other species falling under the classification Cervidae; otherwise known as deer or deer-like mammals that shed and regrow their antlers. Except in regard to their anomalous effects, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 appear identical and indistinguishable from the indigenous species that they resemble. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have thus far only appeared in areas where their indigenous look-alikes make their natural homes. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will usually act like any other cervine species, and are generally non-hostile unless they feel threatened or if a human (and only a human) makes eye-contact with them. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 feels threatened they will attack the source of the threat, during which time more instances will begin to materialize in the area and begin attacking as well. This phenomenon will continue until the threat has been killed or escapes. Should the threat establish a distance of approximately half a kilometer between itself and the attacking instances of SCP-XXXX-1, the hostile entities will lose interest and disengage. The number of instances that can/will materialize in order to take down a threat has no measurable limit. During these phenomena, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are highly dangerous and highly aggressive. They display advanced regenerative abilities (the only certain means of termination discovered within limited testing has been through decapitation, dismemberment, or destruction of ~30-40% of an instances body mass) and they display anomalous degrees of physical strength. It is believed that instances of SCP-XXXX-1 can communicate telepathically with one another regardless of distance. These factors have made engaging with instances of SCP-XXXX-1 illogical.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are comparatively rare and have only been observed as a result of Foundation interference in SCP-XXXX-1 Event Type-1. SCP-XXXX-2 are anomalous humanoid entities, displaying effects including advanced regenerative abilities, extreme physical strength, and a form of antlers growing just above their temples that do not appear similar in structure to those of any recorded cervine species. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 do not have the ability to speak and do not appear capable of anything resembling human sapience. They do appear to develop some form of intelligence approximately one month following Event Type-1 scenarios; around the same time that the pedicel structures of antlers begin forming from their skulls. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 do not display any other anomalous properties (strength and regenerative abilities) until approximately one year after Event Type-1 scenarios. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are very subdued prior to the development of pedicel structures, however they experience a severe change in temperament once their antlers begin to grow and will subsequently become extremely hostile.
Further information regarding SCP-XXXX is currently unknown due to the current risks involved with interaction.
SCP-XXXX-1 Events: An Event is triggered when a human makes eye contact with an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. When this occurs, the instance will begin communicating telepathically with the affected human. This interaction is inherently cognitohazardous and there are two (2) known possibilities following the interaction:
