Educated Guess

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a steel cube no smaller than 20 cubic feet. The cube is to be completely soundproof and a decibel meter is to be placed directly outside of it. Any noise higher than -20 decibels detected should be reported immediately. The cube should be suspended in the air by steel cables and no personnel without proper equipment are permitted within 10 feet of it. Motion sensors are to be placed at that same proximity to the containment cube and an alarm will be triggered if anything crosses them.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a white cube measuring exactly 3 cubic inches. Any human who comes into close proximity to SCP-XXXX will become obsessed with the cube for no apparent reason. It can project thoughts into humans and cause them to do abnormal things. The box's appearance is nothing remarkable, but it is not made of any known material. It has also been noted that SCP-XXXX is indestructible, and all attempts to terminate it failed.

Behavior: People who come into close proximity to SCP-XXXX (hereby known as SCP-XXXX-1) will slowly forget everything else about their lives over a few weeks and will show insomnia, schizophrenia, loss of mental stability, and social distancing. After completing the transformation, SCP-XXXX-1's skin, eyes, and hair will lose pigmentation and they will be nothing like their former selves. They will forget to eat and they will grow tall and lanky. SCP-XXXX-1's seem to always know where SCP-XXXX is, no matter how far away or if it is not visible to them.

SCP-XXXX-1's who were given SCP-XXXX were seen clutching the box and whispering to it day and night, though there isn't any noise actually coming from SCP-XXXX. Attempts to take SCP-XXXX away from SCP-XXXX-1 were met with fierce hostility from SCP-XXXX-1 and resulted in the deaths of six Foundation workers. When multiple SCP-XXXX-1's were placed in a room with SCP-XXXX they fought each other to the death until only one remained. Noted that the one that remained didn't feel their
