Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is currently contained on site-6 in a standard containment locker since the anomalous propierties of the object dont affect the enviroment by itself. Clearence level 2 or higher is needed to perform tests on the object and should a containment breach occurs while experimenting with SCP-XXXX-1, the subject must be terminated and the object retrived for a re-location. Additionally, should location of SCP-XXXX-3 be discovered, it is mandatory to send an extraction team to search for possible anomalous objects.
Description: SCP-XXXX is composed of 3 different objects, each refered to as SCP-XXXX-1, 2 and 3 respectively: a golden tablet made of a material resembling clay in composition, a lost city belived to be located underwater somewere in the Mediterranean sea and a series of men and women with caucasian features, all belived to be deseased.
The tablet features exactly 30 cm in lentgh, 10 cm in width and 1 cm in depth. Engraved in the tablet, one can find a series of 12 symbols, each representing a zodiac sign, and the words “ΤΡΑΓΕΔΥ ΟΦ ΑΤΛΑΝΤΙΣ” (wich roughly translates to “Tragedy of Atlantis” in Ancient Greek) written at the top of one of it’s faces.
When someone touches one of the symbols corresponding to the person’s own zodiac sign, the subject will enter a state of stillnes and loss of consciousness that will last anywhere from 5 minutes to 24 hours, depending on it’s zodiac sign. During this time, the subject is completley inert and the only known method to remove the tablet is via termination of the current holder. While in this state, the subject’s mind will travel to an instance of SCP-XXXX-3 and it will be able to “see” through the eyes of it. However, the person affected cannot control it’s body, meaning that they are relegated to be a spectator while the events unfold. For more information about the visions, see Experimentation Logs below in this report.
Note: The vision itself appears to be different depending on the symbol touched, however it is the same one each time for one sign individually. Because of this and information garnered with SCP-XXXX-1 concordating with registered historical events, it is currently believed that what this SCP does is not show us visions of the present, but from the past instead as some sort of diary. Please keep this in mind while researching more information about the object.
-Dr. V██
All visions seem to take place in some sort of heavily populated metropolis (denominated SCP-XXXX-2). The current location of the city is unknown, but it is believed that is in an underwater cave somewhere in the Mediterranean sea, and it should be considered a priority to found it.
