Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX1 is to be contained in a Standard Item Locker in Site- 53, within a standard glasses case to prevent possible damage to the lenses. Testing on SCP-XXX1 should only be done with two armed guards on standby. Attempts to wear SCP-XXX1 outside of testing is strictly forbidden and may result in termination. All testing should be performed in a padded room to prevent damage to subjects. After a test, unless the test removes the effects of SCP-XXX1, the subject used in the experiment is to remain in the cell for about 5-10 minutes after separation of SCP-XXX1.
Description: SCP-XXX1 is a pair of dark brown prescription glasses with the writing "Clark Kent" engraved in cursive on the right rim. Upon interviewing multiple companies that create prescription glasses, none claim that they created SCP-XXX1.
Upon wearing SCP-XXX1, the subjects' facial features will change, transforming their face painlessly into a randomly created one, far different (except for skin tone, which will remain the same) from the original face. This altered face will still easily be described as human and is theorized to be a recorded average of the faces of all people who have worn SCP-XXX1. Those who do not witness SCP-XXX1 being placed on the subject (SCP-XXX1-1) will believe that SCP-XXX1-1 is a separate person from the original wearer. Upon the separation of SCP-XXX1 from SCP-XXX1-1 will result in this anomalous effect immediately ceasing, and the wearer's facial features will return to what they originally were.
Prolonged wearing of SCP-XXX1, commonly between 5-10 minutes, will result in SCP-XXX1-1 believing that they are a superhero, (normally announcing this fact out loud) and that SCP-XXX1 is their disguise. The name As well, when this effect appears, SCP-XXX1-1 will get a mild boost in stamina, strength, and dexterity, believed to be due to a mild increase in adrenaline production.
