Special Containment Procedures: Access into SCP-XXXX is to be approved via a written note by no less than two level 4 personnel. Any civilians leaving SCP-XXXX are to be debriefed and then given amnestics prior to release.
In the event of a shift to a "dark blue" state, MTF Pi-1 ("City Slickers") and MTF Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots") is to be dispatched and given the objective of clearing civilians from the path of SCP-XXXX. The general public is to be told that cities lost to SCP-XXXX are sites of gas attacks. Populated locations affected by SCP-XXXX are to be inspected by MTF Pi-1 ("City Slickers") and MTF Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots").
Description: SCP-XXXX is a mass of approximately 200 km² of fog. At the time of writing, SCP-XXXX is currently located in ██████████, ████████. Weather prediction has suggested that during the next "dark blue" state, SCP-XXXX may be moving to ████████, ███████
Organic entities that come into full body contact with SCP-XXXX during a "dark blue" state become an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. Inorganic matter that comes into contact with SCP-XXXX decomposes into a broken or crumbled form, regardless of whether or not SCP-XXXX is in a "light blue" or "dark blue" state.
SCP-XXXX has 2 different states. "Light blue" and "dark blue". SCP-XXXX appears to shift to a dark blue3
When SCP-XXXX is in a "dark blue" state, It generally moves straight in one direction for around ██ minutes at a speed of ██/kph. This has caused lethal damage to civilian populations, and a breach by SCP-XXXX is to be considered a top priority for The Foundation to contain.
SCP-XXXX-1 are sentient translucent entities which are unable to leave SCP-XXXX. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have shown to be extremely hostile towards humans and can pass through any inorganic matter. When close enough, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 often proceed to [REDACTED] and kill their victims.1
Addendum-XXXX-01: Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in 19██ on the island of █████, █████████ after government attempts to communicate with residents and officials failed. The Foundation took charge after several members of law enforcement who were sent to investigate went missing, and survivors reported "Ghost-like entities on the island." Survivors were debriefed prior to being amnesticized, and families of those lost were told that their loved ones died in a terrorist gas attack.
Addendum-XXXX-02: Containment Breach: Approximately ██ years after initial discovery and containment, SCP-XXXX unexpectedly breached containment. MTF units were unable to be deployed evacuate civilians from its path in time, which resulted in the deaths of █████ civilians.
Note from Dr.████: During this time, SCP-XXXX was observed to have changed its color from a "light blue" tinge to that of a "dark blue" tinge.
Also, after initial containment, Far more SCP-XXXX-1 entities were observed within SCP-XXXX. I recommend further research into the nature of SCP-XXXX so that we can avoid another breach as disastrous as this.
