Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a small containment cell and is tracked with a Foundation computer for new transmissions. Upon soundwaves being detected inside the cell, the audio is recorded and is later transcribed to this file (see Addendum 2).
Description: SCP-XXXX is the radio equipment used by NASA during the mission ██████ ██, radio transmissions from the █████ ██'s mission commander █████ ██████ ██████, designated SCP-XXXX-1. These transmissions are descriptions of alien landscapes and they arrive with increasing intervals and is then logged.
Anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX first manifested on April 13, ████. When █████ ██ landed on the lunar surface, SCP-XXXX-1 noted an unusual entrance to a cave, upon entering the cave, transmission delay time started to increase exponentially. When SCP-XXXX-1 interacted with an object that he described as "organic-looking" (See Addendum 1), communications cut off with the spacecraft and SCP-XXXX-1.
When communications with spacecraft resumed thirty minutes later, crew onboard reported █ days have passed with spacecraft non-functional and that two oxygen tanks were empty. This has forced the spacecraft to splashdown at the ocean, from which it was recovered.
Foundation agents were dispatched to the Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Mission Control Center, and the public was told that the ██████ ██'s mission was unsuccessful due to an accident in liftoff and the crew was recovered.
SCP-XXXX received its first transmission from SCP-XXXX-1 on April 15, ████. Following this, SCP-XXXX was transported to the Foundation custody.

Special Containment Procedures: Information describing SCP-5000 is to be only transferred via mediums infused with anti-memetic agents that cause the reader to forget about the information that causes the infectious properties of SCP-5000.
SCP-5000 instances are terminated with respect to standard biohazard containment procedures and is treated as a parasitic creature for this regard. As the classical biohazard procedures is enough to contain the spread of SCP-5000 through non-anomalous means.
SCP-5000-1 instances must undergo the Protocole 5000-X (see addendum.) following the procedure, they are to be administered Class-A amnestics. SCP-5000-1 instances are advised to be kept under surveillance during possible future pregnancies as to confirm these are not instances of SCP-5000. SCP-5000-A instances removed from the body should be incinerated. Until they are incinerated, they must be handled carefully to avoid a secretion event from occurring.
SCP-5000-2 instances must be terminated as their deviation from human biological norms risks further creation of SCP-5000 instances.
SCP-5000-B instances can be killed by any industrial pesticides. Quarantine zones must be established in a ██ km diameter area which is the known range of SCP-5000-B instances.
To prevent possible outbreaks of SCP-5000 and contain the outbreaks already happening, Foundation personal has been planted inside numerous organizations such as CDC and ECDC, Global Occult Coalition has been cooperative in the past in informing the Foundation of any SCP-5000 outbreak noticed by WHO. Once an outbreak is detected, Protocole 5000-W is commenced.
SCP-5000 Vaccine can be given to personnel who is expected to work with SCP-5000, specifically members of the ████████ Division and MTF Lambda-12.
Description: SCP-5000 is a parasitic creature. Scientifically known as Sacculina Homosis. It is believed that SCP-5000 shares a common ancestor with the Sacculina parasitic life-forms, as its DNA is similar to it. Moreover, there has been lateral DNA transfer with other parasitic life-forms, as evident by the apperance of SPC-5000-B, wheter this transfer was before SCP-5000 gained its antimemetic properties or after is a point of discontent among researchers. Evolutionarilly, SCP-5000 evolved with humans, and seem to be prevelant with humanity's evolutinary ancestors. However, since humans are able to create language and interract with each other, they were able to quickly dispose of SCP-5000-1 instances, causing a decline in the population of SCP-5000 to the point of near extinction. SCP-5000 at this point gained its anti-memetic or memetic properties, there are two diverging theories on how. First theory states that SCP-5000 infected an important religious figure to early humans, this caused SCP-5000 to gain access to human memeplex. Support for this theory can be seen in the ancient ███████ tablets of the ████████ people. Theory two states that SCP-5000 must have been modified by an interraction with an ███████████ ███████ ███████████ this ████████ gave it the ability to infiltrate the human memeplex, and therefore gain its anti-memetic and memetic properties.
In its larval stage, SCP-5000 has a width of 5nms. SCP-5000 instances in their larvae stage enter the human body either by contact with the bodily fluids of SCP-5000-1 instances, contact with the salvia of SCP-5000-B during feeding or by the host learning about SCP-5000's existence. With the former two being called standard contamination and the latter is called memetic contamination.

Following contamination, if the host is a male, the parasite stays dormant, if the host is a fertile female, the parasite travels to the uterus and attaches itself to the uterine wall, mimicking embryonal development. The parasite then releases chemicals that lead to the degradation of the ovaries and kills any healthy eggs. Finally, grey-white blisters appear on the host's skin, however, they cannot be noticed by the host due to parasite's anti-memetic properties. From this point on, the host becomes an instance of SCP-5000-1 and SCP-5000 instance becomes SCP-5000-A. This process takes around forty-eight hours to complete and can be prevented if the host is provided with the proper vaccination, which can be applied chemically or memetically.
White blisters in SCP-5000-1 instances quickly develop into large cysts protruding through the uterus outside the body. Whereas this would be a painful experience on normal humans, SCP-5000 extends small tubules from its body that connect to the peripheral nervous system, which significantly modifies SCP-5000-1's brain structure, as electrical signals overwhelm and shutdown Somatosensory cortex. It also forces secretion of Oxytocin, which makes SCP-5000-1 develop maternal feelings towards the developing SCP-5000 larvae and begins to view it like a normal human baby and the process as a normal pregnancy.
Anyone who comes into contact with SCP-5000-1, except those who are under the influence of Class-X mnestics and people immune to anti-memetic effects of SCP-5000 do not recognize the anomalous nature of the event.
An instance of SCP-5000-B
Roughly one week after the infection, larvae develop to secretion phase and proceeds to violently erupt from cysts that has grown this is called a secretion event. Grown SCP-5000 instances are called SCP-5000-B and they are fly-like insectoids that feed off of human blood and cause further infection. They can travel up to ██ kms. During secretion events, an average of six hundred SCP-5000-B instances are born. An average life span of an adult SCP-5000 is around a week. Following a secretion event, most SCP-5000-1 die. However, if the event occurred in a medical facility, they might be kept alive by the medical personnel, who are still under the effect of the anti-memetic effects of SCP-5000. If this is the case, SCP-5000-1 instances become SCP-5000-2 instances.
SCP-5000-2 instances are SCP-5000-1 instances that have been deformed by the secretion event. In the final stages of secretion, SCP-5000-A's tubules penetrate the body further white blisters and cysts cover the body and cause considerable pain to the patients before the brain shuts down under stress. Even though ██████ ██ █████ in the thalamus, suggesting SCP-5000-2 can ████ ██████ ████. It is believed ████████ is still active in this period, meaning patients can feel as tubules ███████ █████ and use it as a means of memetic infection. Causing anyone within ███ metres to get infected by SCP-5000. SCP-5000-2's body goes through drastic changes similar to those found in ████ cults and swells to twice its size, SCP-5000-2 produces SCP-5000-B instances more frequently but lesser in number for up to ten years.
It should be noted that anti-memetic effect emitted by SCP-5000 is a characteristic of SCP-5000-A and is not shared by SCP-5000-B, therefore, after a secretion event, if SCP-5000-1 is not kept alive, anti-memetic effects fail, which leads to memetic infection on individuals witnessing the event.
Due to the nature of SCP-5000, epidemics can occur easily. Moreover, there have been a number of occurrences in history that has been believed to be the occurrences of SCP-5000 outbreaks.
If an SCP-5000-1 instance is found prior to a secretion event. SCP-5000-A is surgically removed. Following removal, SCP-5000-A instance is incinerated and the operation room, as well as any equipment used in the process, is biologically sterilised or destroyed as per guidelines.
Former SCP-5000-1 denoted SCP-5000-1-Ex is then put into a biologically induced coma and is put under quarantine for the next two weeks. If no development of SCP-5000-A is seen, SCP-5000-1-Ex and anyone who has came under contact with SCP-5000-Ex is given Class-A amnestics.
Should SCP-5000-A reformation is observed, the procedure is repeated. In 12% of the SCP-5000-1 cases, it is observed that SCP-5000-A cannot be eradicated, as such, if after three attempts the procedure fails, SCP-5000-1 must be ██████ ██████ using an anti-meme, which is deemed the only possible way of termination due to the nature of SCP-5000.
If the Foundation is made aware of an outbreak after a secretion event, Mobile Task Force Lambda-12
is deployed to the affected area and a quarantine area with a diameter of ██ kms is established around the designated ground zero. Following eradication of SCP-5000-B instances, Lambda-12 assists the Foundation's medical personnel as they intervene and operate on the patients. Any instances of SCP-5000-2 found in the area is terminated.
Following the successful eradication of SCP-5000 in an area, Disinformation Burau is contacted to cover up the events. Due to the anti-memetic effect of SCP-5000-A, the vast majority of the time termination of witnesses has proved unnecessary, but there have been exceptions.
██████, 1616: 90% of the ██████ tribe died in the outbreak. Remains of the dead was later tested by the Foundation researchers and was confirmed to be the first SCP-5000 outbreak. ||
█████, Ottoman Empire, 1892: Occured in a small village of █████ in today's Bulgaria, victim's are believed to learn about SCP-5000 from █████ texts.
██████, German Empire 1919: First event where the Foundation has intervened and the first case that brought the Foundation's attention to SCP-5000, it is believed a Bulgarian soldier that picked the larvae from the previous infection passed it to a sex worker. Foundation intervened after the secretion event.
█████, Nevada, United States, 1952: It is believed that a member of ██████ accessed the files on the previous outbreak in Germany. The first case after the invention of Mnestics, foundation intervened before the secretion event. SCP-5000-1 instance was saved and was interviewed. (See addendum 4 for details.)
█████, Democratic Republic of Congo, 1983: It is unknown how the parasite was able to infect its host. It was covered up as an Ebola outbreak. This is the first time it was suggested there may be living colonies of SCP-5000 naturally infecting people.
Agent ██████ Morales was brought in from the █████████ Division to interview Agent ██ Kleen (a SCP-5000-Ex instance).
*Morales:* Alright, my name is Agent ██████ Morales of the Foundation's █████████ Division, Today is June 26, 1952. Please state your name for the record.
*Kleen:* Where is my baby?
*Morales:* Agent?
*Kleen:* Where the fuck is my baby?
*Morales:* Kleen you were not pregnant.
*Kleen:* What the fuck?! Where is my baby?
*Morales:* Agent, please calm down, take a sip o—
[Sound of a glass breaking is heard followed by a sound of a metal chair falling down.]
*Morales:* Guards!
[Sound of people running and someone else being restrained.]
*Morales:* Hold on, what is that? Can you show me her belly? Oh God.
Agent ██ Kleen was taken into surgery once more, this time SCP-5000-A was successfully removed from the agent's body. Class-A Amnestics was given to the agent as Agent Morales assumed there was a memetic effect going on. Upon this, Agent Kleen was interviewed again.
*Morales:* My name is Agent ██████ Morales of the Foundation's █████████ Division, Today is July 10, 1952. Please state your name for the record.
*Kleen:* My name is Agent ██ Kleen, I work for the ████████ Division.
*Morales:* How are you, Agent Kleen?
*Kleen:* I am fine… It is kind of weird to wake up with lost time though, three weeks of lost time, to be exact. Is it possible for you to…
*Morales:* I am afraid it is not. As you may understand, the information is… hazardous, to say the least.
*Kleen:* I see… I assume I will be restationed?
*Morales:* Correct. Agent Kleen, I won't keep you for long, I need to know though, what is the last thing you remember?
*Kleen:* I was looking at the past files.
*Morales:* Files? Documents? What sort of Documents?
*Kleen:* Past Foundation research, I was looking for a document pertaining to SCP-████, There was a Weißnacht event near ██████, Germany. But I was unable to find the Document. I did find a lot of others, however.
*Morales:* Interesting… Thank you, Agent Kleen. Interview terminated.
After the interview, Agent Morales had found the file on the Germany Event. The file was forgotten due to the use of Amnestics in the prior case. Morales subsequently lobbied for a foundation of a research team that would meet every day in a memetically sealed chamber. that would research for a vaccine against SCP-5000.
Current conventional vaccine for SCP-5000 can be applied via injection or orally. A memetic vaccine also exists, however it has a possibility of terminating the subject, as the memetic vaccine is powered by a powerful logical ██████, which human brains may not be able to understand. Currently estimated lethality of the memetic vaccine is █.███%.
Ikarus Proposal is to expose the general public to the vaccine using the popular website ██████. It is believed this would prevent any new infections from occurring for enough time for old infection zones to dry up, therefore neutralizing SCP-5000. Ethics Committee is currently deliberating on the proposal, with some suggesting it could be deployed regionally.
