Item #: 6000 | SCP-6000
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6000 is to be stored in an airtight room with a pressure of around 100 pPa. Personnel without safety measures directly exposed to SCP-6000 should immediately report to the Med Bay for Anti-Psychosis and Anti-Depressants. Under no circumstance should any personnel enter the room without proper preventative medicine. If the room raises at any point to higher than 10 to the seventh PA faster than 5 minutes, call for a Code Amber immediately
Description: SCP-6000 is a birthday note that was handmade from paper. It contains a drawing of the main characters from the video game known as "Night In The Woods", and a small boy next to the main protagonist "Mae" Borowski. The boy is shown to be given a hug by the character, and is lightly crying. The inside of the card has 3 paragraphs of a person identified as Xakariah █████ wishing Saleem █████ a birthday to never forget.1 The boy in the art referred to as SCP-6000-1, is young and appears to be ██ years old.2
Addendum 1-A: The effects of SCP-6000 are anomalous, and nothing that has been found before comes close to SCP-6000's effects. It appears that the effects listed in the next sentence happen when somebody picks it up or looks directly at it from a maximum of 6 meters. The effects include Severe depression, Random Mental breakdowns, and even Psychosis if left untreated. These are the effects that happen within the first 15 minutes of staring at it within 4 meters of SCP-6000 straight. The longer someone is near it, the worse the effects. so far, the worst effect seen was after 45 minutes of straight of standing near it. The effects included depression so severe that the person couldn't look at another human without completely losing sanity and crumpling to the ground crying uncontrollably. It appears that the person is reminded of something sad, even if it is extremely minor. One example was D-92613, who said that he was reminded of when his dog chose not to sleep with him so hard that he had a mental breakdown.
Addendum 1-B: From what has been researched about SCP-6000, it appears that when the pressure is any higher than 100 pPa, the effects start to get stronger and start to have lasting effects, like depression and anxiety. When at half the pressure humans can handle, it maxes out it's anomalous effect's power. Something else to keep in mind is that the boy, SCP-6000-1 is immune to these effects, most likely because they suffer from severe depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Interview 1-A: This is an interview from Dr. Clef, and D-92613.
Dr. Clef enters the interview room.
Dr. Clef: "Ah, hello, D-92613."
D-92613 is quiet.
Dr. Clef: "So, you know why we called you in here, right?"
D-92613 is still quiet.
Dr. Clef: "Can you please tell me what it was like in the room?"
D-92613 appears to be quietly crying with his head down.
D-92613: "I-It was like being trapped in a nightmare… I felt like that moment would haunt me forever!" He spoke soberly.
Dr. Clef: "Hm, is there anything important that happened? Did-"
D-92613: "What do you mean is there anything important!? I couldn't fucking move! I could barely breathe, and you ask me if anything important fucking happened!?"
Dr. Clef: "Hey, calm down, I'm sorry, do you need a minute?"
D-92613 is sobbing now, with his face in his hands.
Dr. Clef stands up calmly and leaves the room to let D-92613 calm down.
15 minutes pass by.
Dr. Clef re-enters the room, this time with a single small pill in his hand. D-92613 appears to have calmed down.
D-92613: "What is that in your hand?"
Dr. Clef sits down and slides the pill towards D-92613, smiling at him calmly.
Dr. Clef: "Here, take this after we're done."
D-92613: "Okay, what do you want to ask me?"
Dr. Clef: "What did you feel, physically?"
D-92613: "I don't know, I just couldn't move normally while I was crying. It felt like I was almost paralyzed…"
Dr. Clef: "I see, what happened when you first picked it up?"
D-92613: "It just flashed the memory in my mind, then focused on it and distorted it as if it was someone shitting on my mom's grave. It felt awful and sad."
Dr. Clef: "I see, well, the interview is over. Take the pill, and you will be escorted back to your cell. Have a better day, okay?"
D-92613 nods calmly, then takes the pill.
