Threat Level: Red
Close up of SCP-XXXX, viewed in containment. Cognitohazardous text obstructed.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a hermetically sealed, containment cell.
A full crew of ten individuals, including an lologist, are observe SCP-XXXX's overall structural integrity and to track the current rate of cracks and external damage to SCP-XXXX's outer layer. All crew involved with monitoring SCP-XXXX are to to wear anti-memetic hazard suits at all times when within distance of SCP-XXXX. If SCP-XXXX reaches a critical damage threshold as demtermined by the resident oologist and three members of the Japhet council, Procedure-AK-34AOTQ34 Japhet is to be put into place.
Description: SCP-XXXX refers to a fossilized egg of an unknown specimen, that posseses a cognitohazardous effect on viewers and individuals that make phyiscal contact with SCP-XXXX.
Individuals within distance towards SCP-XXXX have reported seeing visions, many of which involve the ocean. These visions often depict tragedy, or dangerous events. Despite the natural trauma such an event would trigger, subjects have generally claimed to have felt calm, and at peace.
SCP-XXXX has been observed experiencing structural decay, with cracks, scratches, puncture wounds and external tears occuring on the outside shell. Cracks and other structural damage that occur towards SCP-XXXX do not occur daily, and do not have a set minimum or maximum set of decay that can occur to the object.
UPDATE: SCP-XXXX's interior contains a developing entity, SCP-XXXX-1 with a similar appearance of a developing Song Thrush. (Turdus philomelos) SCP-XXXX-1, like SCP-XXXX possesses cogntiohazardous abilities, able to transfer information and events. SCP-XXXX-1's cognitohazardous abilities are predictive; with information about events generally given between █ to ███ days in advance. Information recieved has been described as crptic; with information regarding the [DATA EXPUNGED] Tragedy, consisting of repeated ██████ and imagery of the █████.
History: SCP-XXXX was originally discovered near Durupınar site, a region near Mount Tendürek in eastern Turkey.
SCP-XXXX was uncovered by student paleontologists from the nearby Ağrı Province University, where it was erroneously described as an egg belonging to the dinosaur species Titanosaurus.
Shortly after acquisition of SCP-XXXX, instructors and students at Ağri Province University reported cases of hysteria occuring from the paleontology wing, with students claiming to have been drowning, to see the university flooding, and to see people, placws and objects not currently present.
Approximately three days after the aquistion of SCP-XXXX, a student at the university, Çûçê Pejar tried to break his way into SCP-XXXX. While the attempt had failed, the Turkish branch of the Foundation was notifed shortly after. SCP-XXXX was confiscated, deemed a cognitohazard, and Çûçê Pejar was detained and interviewed, under the guise of a University review. Surviving students and instructers had been supplied with Class-A amnestics, and the Durupınar site being closed off.
A condensed interview with Çûçê Perjar is viewable below.
